Wonderful apartment and location

Margret was a wonderful host. Her apartment very nicely decorated and had all the amenities that made our visit to Iceland even more delightful. Communication was flawless. She was kind enough to have Sindri (who was very friendly and knowledgable) meet us at 7:00 am on a Sunday, which we were extremely grateful for after an overnight flight! Great location and beautiful views.

Ocean view and walking distance to everything

An absolute gem in city center. Ocean view and a balcony. Easy walk to market, shops, & restaurants. Also, if you’re doing tours, it’s only 5 minutes to the bus stop. The kitchen is very well equipped with nice dishes and glasses, drip coffee maker, & toaster. There’s also a grill on the balcony if you’re so inclined. I would stay here again.

A seismic 60 celebration

Five ladies, each celebrating 60 this year, and 40+ years of friendship together, ventured to Iceland in the hopes of experiencing an adventure of seismic proportions...and that is exactly what happened. Although no tremors were felt, and the volcano never erupted, we had a blast. Apartment was centrally located and very comfortable...and the view from the common room was amazing. If we ever return, we wouldn't hesitate to again rent this location. Iceland is beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

“listed as a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment”we were very disappointed when we arrived and there was no 3rd bedroom , and my mom had to sleep in the open layout kitchen/diningroom/livigrom area,on a sofa.when i called the property manager and informed him that the listing said there is a third bedroom, he said he knows and I’m totally right, and he’ll correct the listing. Well that did not help my situation but anyway moving on….The apartment is beautiful, clean. The kitchen has everything you possibly need.The view is amazing. walking distance to Main Street and shopping area/restaurants.Covered parking spot was provided, which is a big plus.unfortunately, there was no soap, shampoo, and paper towel, so we had to quick go get them ,which we left after we checked out, so whoever comes after us gonna have everything they need. Great apartment, I would come back if I only need a two bedroom.

Absolutely exceptional apartment, period!! We arrived from the US and were promptly greeted. The apartment is fabulous- spacious, impeccably clean, great location and more. We quickly realized how valuable on-site, inside parking was in Reykjavik. As we were a family traveling together with a full itinerary, the second bathroom was crucial. Margret was incredibly (above and beyond) helpful in suggesting trips, spots to visit and places to eat. We will absolutely go back to Iceland again and will definitely look to stay in this apartment when we do. I cannot rate the apartment and all of the conveniences that come with it high enough. The owner's willingness to go out of her way to help and offer trip advice is invaluable. Thanks a ton for the help and for a great stay!!!

Everything and more!

The apartment has everything you may need and more! Kitchen fully equipped for making meals, if you choose. Being two couples traveling together we each had our own bedroom and bath. There are two nice living room spaces, one with an amazing view of the bay and mountains. Within walking distance to an array of shops, restaurants and specialty shops. And just 2 blocks from a walkway along the bay, that goes right past the Sun Voyager. After a full day exploring with our rental car, we could come “home” relax, wash up and enjoy a cocktail. Before we selected another amazing restaurant to try for dinner. The apartment is in the perfect location! The owner is very responsive with any questions we had prior to our travels along with responding to us while in Iceland. This apartment, its location, the cleanliness is terrific! I sincerely recommend it.

Magical! Perfect!

From the moment we were greeted for checkin to the day we left, our stay was wonderful. Margret is an amazing host. The location was ideal for walking to shops, sites and food in downtown Reykjavik. It’s not on the main road, which is great for quiet, but it’s so close to the fun! Best of both worlds. The view from the living room is absolutely gorgeous! And we saw the Aurora right outside that window the first night! We ran down to the water’s edge and to lo the Sun Voyager sculpture to get up close :) Margret is very accommodating-sent us a list of ways to watch the World Cup for the kids, and she allowed us a bit of extra time to leave due to one of our family members’ illness. The only thing I can say is that the satellite didn’t work, but upon asking, Margret explained that. We didn’t miss out, though. If you really need to watch tv, which we really didn’t, we had other options. I’ve never seen such a clean place! Easy in and out, and having parking under the building is so key! I hope we get to come back in the warmer months. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Fantastic Location in Reykjavik

Wow - just loved our week stay at this apartment centrally located near the harbor center of Reykjavik. The views of the bay were wonderful, and the easy access to the main shopping streets of Reykjavik so nice. We loved the apartment''s features, great view from the living room, and the kitchen and dining spaces were great. The configuration of the apartment is great for two couples sharing the space as the bedrooms are on the outer sides of the apartment with the bathrooms back to back - gives very good privacy . Was also wonderful to have an in garage parking space for our car rental. The owner was so responsive to all our many questions, and responded quickly. We would happily stay here again - one of the best VRBO rentals we have ever stayed at.

Beautiful brand new condominium in a great location

This is a beautiful, exceptionally well maintained property in a superb location in Reykjavik. The view is outstanding, (it says harbor but more like mountains across the bay). Very lovely to wake up and see view from basically floor to ceiling windows. The condo is up to date with great amenities such as parking, (a big plus as parking in Reykjavik is not easy), microwave, dishwasher, and plenty of serviceware & cookware. The wifi worked great and there is both elevator and stairwell for easy access. Margret & Sindri were wonderful hosts. We had a car issue and Sindri was very accommodating when he could meet us keys and show us the condo. Sindri also gave great recommendations for eating, grocery shopping & pools. The location is excellent with fantastic cute shopping, galleries, and excellent restaurants & gourmet food shops. The condo has ample storage, (way more than any 1-2 week traveler could ever use). The 2 bedrooms are furnished with eco cotton flannel sheets. Pillows were a little smaller than we are accustomed to, but bedding was very warm. Be sure to ask Sindri how to work the clothing washer/dryer. It was not like usual American washer/dryer and took a few tries to get it to dry, (but eventually we figured it out). The condo is quite spacious. It was very nice to have the space after traveling in the country for a week in smaller hotels. Worth the price. Just note - there is a hefty tax on all Icelandic hotels etc. In fact, taxes on all goods and sundries were higher than we anticipated.... as well as food. It was great to go food shopping and prepare our own food. It saved a lot of money from eating out. I would stay here again for sure!

Perfect in every way!

Einfach traumhaft schön, super ausgestattet und ein toller Meerblick!

Hallo an alle, die sich für einen Island-Aufenthalt interessieren, ich war mit meiner Mutter und meinem Ehemann für 9 Tage gerade erst dort und kann das tolle Appartement in Nähe des Zentrums und trotzdem direkt am Meer nur wärmstens empfehlen. Es ist gemütlich und sauber und mangelt an nichts (Herd, Mikrowelle, Essbereich, 2 Sofas/Wohnbereiche, Geschirr und Zubehör, sowie Grundlagendes (Salz, Pfeffer,...) sind vorhanden. Auch Sitzgelegenheiten direkt am Fenster mit Meerblick, 2 Schlafzimmer, 2 Bäder mit Handtüchern und Fön, eines mit Duschwanne, eines mit ebenerdiger Dusche). Die Vermieterin antwortet sofort auf Fragen und ist sehr nett. Wir wurden auch dort nett empfangen. Evtl. mitgeführte Mietwagen haben einen eigenen Stellplatz in der Tiefgarage unter dem Gesamtkomplex, von wo man bequem und trocken direkt ins Appartment kommt. Balkon mit Grilll ist auch vorhanden. Ein wirklich unvergesslich schöner Urlaub!
