If you are looking for a rustic accommodation without giving up the creature comforts of indoor amenities, this is the place for you. Cozy and secluded, but still incredibly convenient to restaurants, numerous breweries and wineries, and up to Skyline Drive. Easy to access and great communication from the owner. Wi-Fi is limited but had no issue with our TMobile hotspots. We were too early for the foliage change, but imagine it would be stellar.

The property was rustic and private. The driveway was challenging, I was glad to have 4 wheel drive during a rain storm. We loved how close it was to Skyline Drive and Shenandoah National Park.

Host Bill was very responsive when I messaged about directions. I'm not sure how old the pictures are but they are no longer accurate. Property is in a great location.Outside of cabin and porch area are in need of a major clean up. Inside had a lot of dust and the floors and counters were a bit sticky. Found 2 roach like insects upon arrival. Linens are old. I suggest bringing your own towels and washcloths.The hot tub appeared clean but we did not use it. The porch area was unkempt making us not want to get in the hot tub.Yes, the cabin is rustic but rustic and unkempt are not the same thing. If the owner is paying a cleaning service they should find a new one.There were several deer that visited the property and that was very nice. The bed is very soft but comfortable if you like a soft mattress.We stayed 3 out of 4 nights. Left early partially due to the cabin and partially because we did everything we came to do.

This cabin was the perfect getaway. Located in the woods, easily hundreds of yards from the next property, we felt completely secluded. Fantastic scenery from both the front deck and the back firepit area. The cabin was clean and well-maintained, and the hot tub was the perfect cap to long days of hiking!

Wonderful Romantic Getaway
