Step back to a simpler time and spend your Wrightsville Beach vacation in this charming historic cottage! “Lee” is located less than a block from the beach and offers 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a sprawling covered porch. You’ll enjoy relaxing in the comfy rockers on the great wraparound porch or an afternoon snooze in the hammock tucked away on the private back porch. This classic cottage is modest but offers everything you need to enjoy a week at the beach!

Comfortably furnished, the cottage has an open living and dining area that is separate from the kitchen. The large kitchen table has hosted many family gatherings and has enough space to seat 10 people. A cozy built in workstation offers a workspace for those that can’t fully unplug. The living room is furnished with period pieces that fit the cottage but also comfy enough for movie night with the family. Four bedrooms and 2 baths are on the main level of this home. The fifth guest bedroom with private bath is on the ground floor level and offers a separate entrance that is accessed through the carport.

Fayetteville Street is a very popular spot, close to Johnnie Mercer’s Pier, and downtown Wrightsville Beach with its shops, restaurants, and grocery. The “Lee” Cottage is not only in a great location but offers a taste of the way Wrightsville Beach used to be!

Furniture

Comfortable sitting in the common area was not adequate, there was a loveseat and two lounge chairs for a house that sleeps 10 people. The furniture was dated, dirty and uncomfortable. The 5th bedroom under the home was scary.

Lee Cottage

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed our stay at the Lee Cottage. Location was perfect. When we arrived we realized coffee maker did not work but the office brought us a new one whenever we called. We had already been to Walmart and purchased one to use. We wanted to watch a DVD movie but the DVD player would not work. It was not plugged into the TV and we had problems with the wires. I left a pair of slacks in the closet by accident and I called the office but I never heard back. They were in the bedroom with a connecting bath. New brown slacks with the tags still on them hanging in the closet. The following week was the hurricane so I know things were busy. Please let me know if you found them.

Needs a little TLC

This home is a charming, old home. I love to rent places with character, but this one needs a little TLC to meet rental standards. One bedroom is a separate garage apartment with major mold issues. The family assigned that room could not use it due to the mold infestation. We contacted the rental company for help and were told that maintenance would be by. We never received any further support.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was not clean: dirty plastic cup on a table, blood on the walls and shower curtain of the green bathroom, silverware dirty, floors dirty. This last observation came from our 12-year-old grandson.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental experience was great with Bryant. The house really only has 2.5 baths. The lower level has a bathroom with a stained tub. No shower. None of us would use it. I did use the outdoor shower after it was repaired which worked great for me, but I'm a guy. The furniture is in pretty rough shaped. Lots of stains. Definitely needs more seating in the living room. Only seats 4 people in comfortable seating. Others had to sit on hard kitchen chairs. An added sofa would easily fit in the space. If the furniture was updated and the lower level bath had a shower, I would give a much higher review. Otherwise, it was great. Location is perfect.
