Cozy Country Cottage- a farm experience, yet close to town
True country living, in Dairy country. Fully equipped house with kitchen, living room, dining room, and laundry room. Thoughtful touches throughout, including high thread count sheets and soft towels. All the basics are provided. Kitchen has a keurig, and coffee pods are provided. Our cottage is so much more than a typical little house in town... but Only 10 minutes from downtown. The space: This is an entire guest house, independent of any other structure on the property. Recently remodeled and updated throughout, but still has its old bones & lots of charm!
Other things to note: This is a true country cottage. Be prepared for country noises... roosters crowing, cows mooing, dogs howling at cats :) .... It’s a unique experience all on its own. No Parties allowed! Swimming pool is part of the main house on the property, but cottage guests are welcome. Pool is not heated. Signed liability waiver required. Pool may be unavailable at certain hours due to private events, so we ask that guests check availability in advance and make an appointment for pool time.

The house was very clean, well stocked and the beds were so comfortable. Host was very communicative and available at all times. We were so lucky to have found this gem of country living. I would definately book there again.
My adult daughter and I had a very peaceful and relaxing stay at Lucia’s place. The cottage was clean and well stocked and we appreciated the fresh eggs! Host was responsive and friendly and we felt at home.
We were in town for a family gathering so we did not spend a ton of time at the house but found it comfortable with all the amenities you would need. Easy to check in. Farm animals a bonus!
We have stayed at many VRBO properties. This cottage and Lucia rank at the top! The cottage is well appointed, comfortable and clean. Lucia went above and beyond to make our stay feel like home. I recommend this property and will stay again! Thanks Lucia!
We enjoyed our stay at the Vrbo home. It was quiet and plenty of space for the kids to roam and explore. The home was clean and the beds were comfortable. Being out in the country, the home is quiet and peaceful. No traffic noise siren sounds. We only wish the water pressure/volume in the showers were better. We would stay here again.

Hi! I wish you would’ve told me about the water pressure when you were there! I’ll check the filters on the water.
Thank you for the great review!
Cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. Although only 2 of us stayed, both bedrooms and bathrooms were large and comfortable. I especially appreciated the supplies in the kitchen. We were pleasantly pleased to find coffee k-cups, fresh farm eggs in the fridge along with juice, milk and other basic items. There was some odor from the milk cows next door but otherwise it was very nice. The air-conditioners were already on so the temperature was very comfortable when we arrived. After we arrived the driveway flooded with water as part of the farm water. We were concerned but it caused no problem getting in or out of the cottage. There is a swimming pool which guests are allowed to use, although we did not have time.

About the host

Family is everything. We built our home in the country a few years ago as a place to be filled with joy and life. We live and work here, as well as teach our kids. We love meeting and hosting new people. It's especially satisfying having guests who haven't spent time in the country, and seeing the wonder and joy that wide open spaces and watching animal shenanigans brings out. We start out every reservation with some fresh eggs and goodies waiting in the cottage kitchen.
Why they chose this property
Sunsets out here are gorgeous. It feels like it's far away from everything, but we're a short 5-15 minutes from just about Everything in Turlock! We're right next door to a dairy. Take that as you will :)
What makes this property unique
Wide open spaces, fresh air... not ashalt... although cow smell takes a few minutes to get used to depending on the day! It's always an adventure
