“Eagles Nest” offers breathtakingly beautiful 360 views of the Uncompahgre and San Miguel Ranges and sights as far as Utah. Enjoy your morning coffee on the expansive wrap-around deck surrounded by ponderosa pines and aspen trees while watching the humming birds buzz, and the eagles catch the thermals. During the day, depending on your season, enjoy a day of hiking, fly-fishing, rafting, snowshoeing, cross country or downhill skiing, or just reading a good book and then relax your muscles in the 8 person hot tub just off the deck. In the evening, while watching spectacular sunsets, delight in cooking a gourmet meal while feeling the crackling warmth of the Irish Waterford wood burning fireplace set between the 8-foot picture windows in the cathedral ceiling living room. Finally, gaze, in awe, at the million star-filled sky that can never be adequately described. This is truly a destination in and of itself to let you leave the world behind and fill your mind, body and soul with all the beauty of a Colorado mountain retreat.

And even though you will feel a world away, Telluride Town and Telluride Mountain Ski Resort are only 30 minutes away, where you can shop, downhill ski, dine in world class restaurants, or see a movie at the Nugget. With summer festivals (film, wine tasting, music) almost every weekend, and winter skiing that is second to none, Telluride is a world class resort with an old mining town feel.

Our home offers 4 bedrooms (1 king and 3 queen) plus one extra queen sofa bed in the 3rd floor observatory that comfortably sleeps 10. We have two full baths, an open living room, and dining area that seats 14. The enormous deck also has ample seating for dining as well as a stainless steel barbeque, chairs and stone coffee table.

If in winter, you can enjoy snowshoeing, with 8 pair of snow shoes for your use and you can start your “exercise” right outside the door.
If in summer, enjoy some of the best fly fishing on the San Miguel river at the base of our access road. Or take a hike on the wildflower filled Mesa. The sky is truly the limit!
If you are a long term renter and have to do some work, the house is has two desk areas, a fax/copier/ printer, and WiFi. When you are done with work, you can relax to your favorite surround sound music, watch Satellite TV, or a DVD.
Other Amenities include dog friendly environment, regular road plowing, and backup generator so you should never be without power.
