We had a great time at this site. The bunk beds were great for my kids. The jacuzzi has a good view of nature as you relax outside. There is a grill in case you want to cook something there. Enough restrooms so nobody had to wait. We would like to return soon.
There was a lot to love about this cabin, and I would definitely stay here again if visiting Ruidoso. There is a lovely view from the living room, and the downstairs area was perfect for the kids. They loved the arcade game and the shuffleboard. The teenagers especially loved sitting in the hot tub after their skiing and hiking days.
Overall a Great Cabin very clean, very house warming, and great response by owner on any difficulty’s we may have ran into, Such a great place hope to come again.
This was an absolutely amazing vacation for our family. This "playful cabin" was everything it stated and more. The views of beautiful Ruidoso were breathtaking. The cabin had everything we could possibly ask for, most importantly, the cleanliness, it was spotless, and that immediately set the tone for what was going to be the most relaxing get away! Along with cleanliness, all the essentials were provided and for once there were more than enough towels and wash cloths for a family of 5! We all enjoyed the spacious beds, game room, and hot tub. After days of hiking, shopping and watching horses race it was always a comfort to return to our cabin and settle in (while watching for elk, deer and wild horses along the way!!). We were sad to have to leave, the beauty that surrounded us plus the ease of the stay truly made this the most memorable vacation our family has ever had. Thank you Richard and Jennifer for sharing your beautiful home.
I would give it 10 stars if I could!! The home is beautiful and clean with everything you need. The location is perfect. We loved that we were able to bring our pets. They are family too! I will say that there isnt alot of room to let them potty without leashing them up and going for a walk but we loved doing that! The views are incredible!! We had issues getting up to the home due to ice and snow so be prepared with chains and 4x4 if its snowing. A neighbor we spoke with said that its not very common for this to happen and it was just a bad winter storm. I let the owners know we had a hard time and the next day they sent someone to bring us a beautiful charcuterie board. Totally unnecessary but shows how wonderful they are and that they truly want you to have an amazing vacation. Their communication was wonderful. I honestly can't say enough about the home. We made incredible memories. You wont regret booking this one!!
We booked our stay here well before the fires & floods. The host provided outstanding updates, set our minds at ease, and calmed our fears about our visit. Yes, it was very difficult to take joy in our vacation while there was such devastation, but the people of Ruidoso made us feel wanted and welcomed. The Cabin is sanctuary and really has everything you need. The Grandkids delighted in the shuffle board and the PAC Man game was nostalgic. The air was cool, the views still tremendous, and the places we ate were all within a few minutes drive. Not really much of an area for walking, but a few minutes drive and the forest trails were open. Although some areas were closed and probably will be for a while, there was still plenty to see and do - and probably because of the misinformation on the Internet, there are not as many people as there ordinarily are. There were 4 adults and 2 kids on our trip and there was plenty of space for all. Thank You to our host and hostess- it was 5 star!
We loved our stay! The owners were so friendly and they truly thought of everything you could need for your stay to make you feel right at home. The weather didn't cooperate with us but we were able to enjoy the view for a couple hours the first day of our stay and it was beautiful! My kiddos LOVED their downstairs "den" with the bunkbeds, games and tv! The neighborhood often had deer and wild horses which we loved seeing and it was a perfect drive into town for food or shopping. The beds were super comfortable and the numerous decks would be so enjoyable (in better weather)..We will definitely be back!!
