We spent more than two months in beautiful Sunset Preserve in great sunshine. The house was well furnished with everything we needed. The kitchen was particularly well stocked. Outside, in the Lanai, the pool was great, and looked out on the Lemon Bay preserve. It was peaceful and quiet. The host was very responsive with our questions and little problems. All in all, it was a great vacation.
We had a great stay at this property. Our host, Lori was very responsible and answered our questions quickly. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub daily. Nicely updated house with lots of closet space. Quiet neighborhood. Had a great time!
The property was super clean and accommodated us as a big group. We had a couple of issues but we reached out to the property owner and they were very responsive and timely. We appreciate owners cooperation. Beds were comfortable and the house was fully stocked with necessities.
Conveniently located to beaches, shopping, nature preserves, churches, etc. Pool and hot tub were marvelous. Very spacious, clean, and very well equipped in a quiet neighborhood. Was just a wonderful experience for our entire family. (three generations)
We stayed here for the month of March 2025 and had a wonderful time. The location was perfect as we were close to a local dog park and Brohard Paw Park on the beach and very close to downtown Venice.Loved the large open concept of the kitchen and living room with large flat screen TV. Also has a separate dining area which we used when friends visited us.The lanai/pool area is very nice with hot tub(took a while to figure out how to get it to heat up). The lanai backs onto the Preserve which is very nice and quiet. Kitchen had everything we needed except for a kettle to boil water for tea. BBQ is old fashion manual charcoal grill which worked well but lacked the convenience of a propane grill. There was an issue with the water having a very strong sulphur/rotten egg smell. Especially in the shower. We contacted the host who did arrange for a technician to inspect the water treatment system but did not fix the problem. He even mentioned he had been there in the past for the same problem. We also noticed mold in the hot tub when we arrived but was cleaned up after we showed it to the pool cleaners.Overall, we enjoyed out stay but the strong sulphur water smell was difficult to ignore and did change our overall impression of the property. If not for the sulphur issue, we would definitely stay here again.
Quiet pool home with a beautiful wildlife sanctuary in the back yard.
The property manager was wonderful. Everything was provided that was needed for our stay. I've stayed at many Vrbo homes and this was very easy to access, close to many stores and beautiful beaches. Just the relaxation we needed. Very honest people. (My son left his PS5 controller and they mailed it back to me) Thank you very much for returning. (Only reason I gave it a 4 star on cleanliness is because we found 2 plastic water bottles, that weren't ours down beside a few different beds) But with all that being said we'd absolutely stay again 😊
Overall we enjoyed our stay at this home. The location was great and convenient to the main strip of shopping and restaurants. The inside of the house was well maintained, clean and spacious. One thing to note is that there isn’t a door on the one room with the fish tank. It has a queen bed and pull out couch, which is great, but not private. We weren’t prepared for the nature preserve behind the house. We got eaten alive by no-seeums. Backyard was a bit rustic because of the preserve and lots of shrubbery hanging around the pool area. Lori was pretty responsive to our questions since we had some trouble getting the hot tub going.
The house is beautiful. The beds are comfortable and it has all the towels and bedding you could need. The kitchen is pretty well stocked but if you don't cook with stainless bring your own pans etc. I had to buy one as well as some tupperware and tin foil (which I left for the next guy) because there was nothing viable to store things in. Everything else was great though. My one suggestion is to trim the shrubbery in the back - we had the perfect spot for sunsets but couldn't access the 'spot to watch the sunsets' because it was all overgrown. The owner is very responsive. Overall great week in a great house. Thanks!
