Addressing the Corona Virus:
We meet all state requirements for health and safety. We have 3 private suites with 2 adults maximum per suite. We have a no contact simple self check if requested. There is no community breakfast as you have a private kitchen in each suite and we supply an in-room breakfast. Our breakfast includes Gourmet Bavarian Waffles, sausages, 3 kinds of muffins, 3 kinds of fresh fruit, 3 types of cereal, coffee, teas and hot cocoa. We are #1 on TripAdvisor for Leavenworth Bed and Breakfasts for cleanliness and privacy. Plenty of Outdoor walks and Leavenworth's wonderful Alpine air, with the beauty of the Wenatchee River from your private patio.

Haus Hanika is a Bavarian designed Bed and Breakfast right on the Wenatchee River with a total of 3 suites. The Black Bear Suite is our queen suite with a lodge decor and river rock gas fireplace. Breakfast in your suite! So no schedule! Only 1 mile from town but completely relaxing on the river. The perfect getaway from it all, yet close to all the festivities of Downtown Leavenworth! Adults only with maximum of 2 guests per suite.

Relax on the private patio with your glass of wine or beer and watch the river and all the wildlife. Binoculars are provided for your enjoyment.

So many activities to choose from! Either just relax the whole time you stay, or ask Ted and Sandy about all of the many activities to choose from; Hiking, skiing, biking, dining out, festivals, wine tasting, fishing, golfing, rafting, tubing, Leavenworth has it all.

This place is adorable and was perfect for our anniversary get away. I highly recommend staying here. They provide a waffle and sausage breakfast right in your room! The view from your room is breathtaking and the fireplace makes it cozy for those brisk nights. Fall is a beautiful time to be in Leavenworth.

We will be staying at Haus Hanika everytime we go to Leavenworth!

My Girlfriend and I decided to take a trip to Leavenworth as our Christmas presents to each other. We had a great time to say the least. Haus Hanika is the perfect place to stay for a couple visiting Leaven worth. Very cozy rooms, delicious breakfast included, and a 20 second drive in to town. A perfect mountain getaway!

Haus Hanika was the perfect Leavenworth B&B to spend our anniversary and birthday in! The setting is absolutely spectacular and sits on the beautiful Wenatchee River. We stayed in the little Black Bear room and it was perfect for the two of us for four days. The room was immaculate and quiet...only the sounds of the river and birds! We hiked, kayaked, and flyfished...perfection! Thanks, Sandy and Ted...you’ve created a wonderful oasis!

Amazing Leavenworth B&B!!!

My family rented both the Black Bear and Alpine Suites for 5 wonderful days in July. Ted and Sandy took great care of us during our stay. Everything was perfect...beautiful clean suites, breakfast items that we all enjoyed, peace & quiet and an amazing river right out our private door. We hiked 3 days of our stay and experienced the beautiful area around Leavenworth. We also enjoyed eating at a number of the local restaurants. The Watershed Cafe was amazing!!! We have stayed in other VRBO rentals around the US and Haus Hanika is one of the very best. My family couldn't have asked for more! We can't wait to return to this beautiful B&B!

We had a magical time

The location was absolutely beautiful. We were one mile from the center of Leavenworth. Sandy and Ted were warm, friendly hosts. Our room had a view of the Wenatchee River. There was lots of snow on the ground but our little fireplace made our adorably decorated room toasty warm. Our little fridge was stocked with waffle batter, milk, sausages and orange juice and an idiot proof waffle maker. There was a basket of muffins and fruit as well as both bran cereal and granola. Everything was bavarian 😊Even the dishes matched the rooms decor. The bed and linens were very comphy. We would definately stay here again. Thank you for sharing your gorgeous home with us! Relaxation Supreme!

What a great place to relax! We're traveling across country and have been hiking and biking everyday. Haus Hanika was a great place to just relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. This B&B sits literally on the edge of a beautiful river. We sat all day long beside the river and watched the tubers and kayakers float the river. We stayed just two nights but we were wishing we'd booked it for more. The Black Bear Suite has everything a person would need: very comfortable bed, jetted tub, and a wonderful breakfast which you prepare yourself whenever you're ready to do so. Eating our Bavarian waffles on our private porch... oh my goodness, wonderful food and beautiful scenery ... a combination we won't soon forget. Oh, and by the way, the town of Leavenworth is fabulous -- everything is decorated in a Bavarian style -- very quaint and enjoyable. We will definitely stay here again!

Enjoyed our stay in the Black Bear Suite at Haus Hanika

Annually, my husband and I come to Leavenworth in July for our family reunion, which just so happened to be a few houses down from Haus Hanika. From the moment we arrived, Sandy and Ted took great care of us and are so organized they had everything ready for our arrival. Sandy and Ted have a beautiful home/B&B right on the river, in the most glorious location (close to downtown Leavenworth, yet quietly peaceful that you feel remote). We stayed in the Black Bear Suite and had all the comforts of home at our fingertips. My husband loved the self-made Bavarian breakfast that we enjoyed on our patio. Our suite was clean, comfortable, cozy, and well appointed with all the necessities. Sandy and Ted are there if you need them, but they give you 100% privacy and space. We look forward to staying at Haus Hanika again next year. BONUS: we actually saw a small black bear across the river on our way out of town, and thought it was perfectly fitting for our delightful stay.

We loved the riverbank location of the B and B. The room was very comfortable, the bathroom large and nice, fun to make our breakfast in our room and then eat it sitting on the patio outside the room. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. Great location for access to hiking. Wonderful getaway.

Outstanding Rental

We could not have been happier with our stay at Haus Hanika. In addition to the incredibly beautiful setting and first- rate accommodations, we were particularly pleased in our interactions with the property owners, Sandy and Ted, who went out of their way to help us have an enjoyable stay. Upon learning of our car trouble, they offered to pick us up from the mechanic’s shop, drove us into town for dinner, and drove us to the airport so that we could obtain a rental car. To say that Sandy and Ted went above and beyond the call of duty is quite an understatement. But even without the extra care and attention, we would stay at Haus Hanika again. The room had everything that we needed for a weekend stay, and the location right on the river was absolutely superb.

Ted and Sandy have vacationed in Leavenworth since we first met 30 years ago. It's was always our favorite getaway for the wonderful sun we have here. Living in Western Washington for our whole lives we began coming to Leavenworth more and more every year for the sunny weather, and all the fun activities and festivals year round. Finally, in 2000, we bought our property here on the Wenatchee River and used it as our getaway until 2005 when we began building Haus Hanika. Finished in 2007, we moved here full time and decided to share our wonderful spot on the River as a Bed and Breakfast so that others could enjoy this beautiful area as well. We know you'll love it here as we do!

Why they chose this property

We chose Haus Hanika location because it is so close to town, but gives you the feeling of being in nature. The River and all the wildlife is so relaxing but you are so close to Downtown Leavenworth (just one mile).

What makes this property unique

Our goal is for you to have complete privacy and to feel like you've really had a break from it all. We are available for anything you want or need, but leave you alone for your 'down time'. That's why we provide your breakfast in your suite already when you arrive so that you can wake up and just relax in the morning!
