The owner was able to accommodate my request of having a gathering of friends on the holiday weekend. Communication was good as he was accessible. Basement not included so be mindful for complete privacy you’ll have to pay more. The cost to host was also additional but understandable as most properties wouldnt allow parties of any sort.Very spacious and clean, would stay again
This home was very beautiful. We had little to no issues. There was a misunderstanding about how the heating/cooling system worked. The owner was very attentive to any and every need we had. He was very quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had. I wish he would've disclosed in advance that he would be residing in the basement during our stay. It may the stay a little awkward. Please ask lots of questions before booking to eliminate certain surprises. Other than that, I would recommend this stay.

Inauguration Weekend
Had trouble with the lock on the front door. The host had to come out to meet us. The basement is a separate rental property. So, we had strangers in the same house as us. From the inside of the house the people from the basement could walk into where we were staying. Our sheets were dirty. We washed sheets and pillowcases. There was 1 TV in a room with no chairs or sofas and it didn’t work, Owner said he had Hulu But we couldn’t get the tv on.

family fun
The house was nice but was lacking a few essentials.
Some windows had no curtains and none of the windows had shades. The sun came in very early waking us before we wanted to be up. The beds had no top sheets and had odd blankets. No quilts, just throws.
The kitchen was lovely, but the refrigerator was full of food. The cabinets had dishes of open nuts and seeds.
The owner addressed the lack of sheets and lack of pillows.
Two of the toilets wouldn't flush properly. He fixed one.
One of the toilet seats was completely off on one side. He told me he fixed it, but he did not. One guest felt it was a Hazzard to sit on. It is a lovely house but needs some fine tuning.
Overall a great house for a large family. Plenty of bedrooms and private baths. We stayed with three couples ranging from early 40s to mid 70s and a few single people over 35 as well one teen. The only improvement I would suggest is putting more traditional seating in the house. The TV room, where my family tends to gather late at night, didn't have chairs. My parents can't sit on the floor, and I would suspect many older visiters would have similar challenges. We had to move chairs from the well-appointed living room (that didn't have a TV). We did find it a somewhat disconcerting that the owner pops in an out of the basement office without warning. This was a little taxing on nerves of a few family members.Owner was very responsive to a few issues we had with the house which we appreciated. We would stay there again.
