This is certainly one of the best place to stay in Vaison-la-Romaine. Great location in the heart of the town right in front of the Roman ruins. The house is well decorated with all the amenities: 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, 2 TVs, air conditioning, full kitchen with everything you need.
We felt right at home from June 8 to June 16th and truly enjoyed our stay. The owners are very attentive making sure we had everything needed. We highly recommend Maison Vaison and plan to come back before the end of the year.
Your passage is already well-written, but here's a slightly refined version:
Allan is undoubtedly the best host I've encountered on VRBO and its competitors. He's not only responsive, helpful, and accommodating, but he's also a genuinely nice guy.
The house is amazing—deceptively spacious, tastefully decorated, and recently renovated. It has good air conditioning, comfortable beds, quality showers, a charming terrace, and all the amenities one could need. Positioned directly across the street from the town's most spectacular ancient ruins site and a minute's walk from the town square, its location is unbeatable. Additionally, with street parking and a parking lot just 100 meters away, it’s crazy convenient. It couldn’t be better.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Vaison-la-Romaine. Our host Allan prepared us well with instructions ahead of time and lots of recommendations regarding restaurants and things to do. The townhouse was beautiful and wonderfully appointed. We lacked for nothing.
A friend and I spent several wonderful days in this comfortable apartment in Vaison. The apartment is pretty and well-appointed, but the best part is the unbelievable view directly out the front windows into a huge ancient Roman site. Breathtaking! Restaurants and the Roman museum and arena are a short walk away.
One note: the 2 bedrooms are upstairs, and while one has an en-suite bath, the other uses a full bath that’s on the downstairs level. It worked fine for us but is important to know.
A lovely place to stay in Vaison!
Such an enjoyable week enjoying all that Vaison-la-Romaine and the surrounding towns and sites had to offer. The accommodations were perfect for our group of four. We enjoyed local markets and found everything in the home necessary to turn our purchases into feasts. Vaison is a centrally located town to venture off from. Definitely an excellent choice for vacation. Stay more than a week if you can.
Superb house in the best location in a a gorgeous village
This is an old house that has been thoroughly and attractively modernized yet keeps its old world charm. The location was also optimal, overlooking the Roman ruins and quiet but a short walk to every necessity. The owner, Allan Glube, checked in regularly to make sure everything was working, and everything was always working.
This home is perfect. Two blocks away from the town centre with all the wonderful restaurants and shopping. Yet, far enough away to feel quiet and home-like. They have thought of everything for their guests comfort. A wonderful experience all around!
Everything about our experience was beyond expectations. The location was excellent...quiet, safe, convenient. The condition of the accommodations were also exceptional. It was clean, well furnished, tasteful...superb in every respect. The owner was extremely conscientious. He offered excellent recommendations for dining and sightseeing. All of the suggestions were fulfilling and helpful. A guest does not need an itinerary; the property owner is as good as Rick Steves. And everything was in working order. (The house keeper stopped by to make sure everything was "O.K." The "maintenance man" stopped by twice to make sure everything was O.K." Very reassuring! We will be back.
The property was exceptionally well appointed and the owner was extremely attentive. It was a wonderful visit in an excellent location - we hope to visit again.
Maison Vaison was everything we could have asked for. Allan has been a prompt, thorough and informative corespondent, answering questions we didn’t know to ask. He made sure that we were ready with a full guide to the house and the area and that we had key in hand long before we left home.
The house is as stunning as the pictures show (they are super accurate so you can trust them) and it is super comfortable, clean and convenient.
The location is perfect — just steps from town with a pretty good restaurant right on the next block. Vaison la Romain has long been a favorite place to visit for us. It was luxury to wake up on Tuesday market day and not have to drive over and search for a place to park. :) Plus, Vaison la Romain is a wonderful base from which to travel to other great destinations. We went to L’Isle Sur la Sorgue, Montélimar (for the nougat factory), Cucuron, among other lovely spots. Plus, in June, the lavender fields are purple and fragrant, the fruit trees laden and the vineyards green and gorgeous. And those silvery olive trees!! Going anywhere or just taking a drive is special.
After a day of exploring favorite spots, it was a joy to come back to Allan’s tranquil home and relax, stare out into the ruins across the street (and watch the escapades of the neighbor cats.). If there were more than 5 stars to give, this place has earned them. An amazing treat.

Beautiful house in charming village. We loved it!
We loved this place in Vaison la Romaine! We stayed for 1 week. There was plenty of room for 6 of us- 4 adults and 2 children. The house was beautifully decorated! The town is so charming. Lots of great restaurants but it was also nice to cook in one night. The kitchen was delightful to cook in. From the minute we were considering renting the place to when we mailed our key back, the owner was extremely helpful. He provided restaurant recommendations in Vaison la Romaine as well as in areas around Vaison la Romaine and in Paris. He also provided itinerary suggestions including suggestions for wine tasting and cooking classes. We could not have been happier. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful apartment-Great location!
We stayed in Allan's apartment for a week, and loved every minute of it. First of all, it's gorgeous! It's impeccably decorated with very french provincial decor. The beds in both bedrooms are extremely comfortable, the shower is amazing, everything worked great! Washer and dryer were a bonus because we were there all week.
The apartment is located literally across from Roman ruins, so the views are amazing. Parking is easy-although beware of all the various market days, so your car doesnt get towed! Allan gives great instructions to ensure you understand the parking rules. He also provided us with a ton of information about our location and surrounding area.
It's a great starting point to see the rest of the Provence region-everything is within an hour, and you definitely need a car. Also, the apartment is located in the town so we could walk to dinner and the bakeries and the huge Tuesday market is right down the street!!
I would highly recommend this place for families or couples! A wonderful place and we would definitely stay there again!!

One of the Best
We have traveled in Europe extensively for many years and prefer apartments in historic places. Maison Vaison was one of the best: beautiful townhouse in a perfect city and area location! Easy walk to restaurants and parking is not a problem. Loved being across from the Roman ruins. Easy access to touring and visiting picture perfect
wine villages. Allan supplies guests with detailed information about the ins and outs of the home and much more -- best we have ever received from the rental apartment owner. Allan communicates promptly by email too. Kathleen was surprised that the home has a full size washer and dryer. We will recommend this home to all we know. Thank you for a wonderful five days. Simply wonderful
What a perfect home-away-from home. My husband and I had never rented a French apartment before (it's always been hotels), and now I'm afraid we're spoiled forever. The owners have thought of absolutely everything, from excellent bedding to a fully equipped kitchen. The location could not be better--the Roman ruins are right across the street! Also a plus was having air conditioning, and it was really needed at the beginning of August. We have already recommended Maison Vaison to friends, and we most certainly will return on our next trip to Provence.

I can't say enough good things about Maison Vaison
I really can't say enough positive things about Maison Vaison! The location is perfect; easy walk to all great restaurants, cafes, historical sites, the museum. It is beautifully decorated and updated; the beds were amazingly comfortable and the sofa bed was also comfortable. There was attention to every detail; plenty of fluffy pillows, fluffy towels, bed linens, blankets, eating utensils. Also, my husband loved the fact that Maison Vaison was equipped with good AC. Especially, since our stay was in August. There was also convenient amenities; many English tv stations, English DVD's, washer, dryer. Fortunately, Mr. Glube left instructions (in English) for most things (TV, washer, dryer, etc.). He was also very easy to communicate with when we were booking Maison Vaison and prior to our arrival and during our stay. I definitely recommend both Maison Vaison and the town of Vaison-la-Romaine. It was a wonderful place to visit. We hope to return.

Wonderful Stay!
Look no further! Maison Vaison is a wonderful place to stay, we didn’t want to leave!!! My husband and I stayed for 5 nights. We absolutely loved the décor and the feel of the home. Great views of the Roman ruins, especially from the master bedroom. Maison Vaison is situated in an ideal location for exploring the beautiful village and the surrounding region and so close to many restaurants and the local market. Allan (the owner) was a delight to deal with and was very helpful with ideas for the region. Will most definitely stay there again when visiting the area. This place has left us with many special memories!

Beautiful Vaison la Romaine
I stayed at this property for a full month in the spring (April/May) with another couple. They used the master bedroom and bath located at the front house with a great view of the ruins and lots of windows. My room was smaller and darker in the center of the home with french doors leading to the terrace noted in the listing. The terrace did not receive any sun due to the high stone walls and the elevation of the floor. It was a small space and not usable if you wanted sun and a view. It was completely closed in and adjacent to the neighbors home. In fact their window opened onto the terrace so I was able to see them as well as hear them all the time i was in my bedroom.
The kitchen and living/dining area was good for our needs - there were just three of us and we were comfortable. The home is in an excellent location to the village of Vaison la Romaine and we walked everywhere to restaurants, shops and attractions.
I would recommend the home for a short term stay rather than a full month. I was anticipating and area to sit outside and enjoy the glass of wine and a good book.

Location, location, location
Great location a few minutes walk to Tuesday market, downtown and cathedral...Restaurants galore. We felt safe and enjoyed the view of the ruins and a great central location to explore this area of Provence. Great hikes up into vineyards from the house...Master bedroom is bright and airy and a great ensuite bath. Terrace is an overstatement for the room off the second bedroom. It is enclosed and no sun ever got to it while we were there for our month and we never sat on it....Over all we loved the place and Alan is a great landlord...Provided tons of information and when we had a small issue he had someone there the next day to fix it. Would recommend the place highly....

A Special Home
Provence is a very special spot in this wide world, and Maison Vaison was the perfect location and setting to enjoy all aspects of the region. Centrally located among the Cotes du Rhone hill towns, the house is equally convenient to enjoying everything about Vaison La Romaine; from the terrific Tuesday market, to enjoying café crème in a restaurant on the square, to poking into fun shops, and climbing up to the medieval village. Whenever we wandered to surrounding villages it was always a pleasure to return "home" to MV.
The house itself is a perfect jewel: spacious, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable for the four of us who stayed here for 2 weeks (with my husband and I staying on for an additional week). Having the fully equipped kitchen and washer and dryer made our stay even better. By the time we sadly had to depart we were feeling completely at home!
And a very special thanks to the owners. Allan was most helpful throughout the process: before, during, and after our visit to make certain all was well and in order, and offering tons of ideas of special things to enjoy throughout Provence. I am quite certain we will be returning some time in the not so distant future!

Wonderful!
This was an amazing apartment! The pictures do not do it justice. All our needs were meant and more. It was very comfortable for 4 people. It was a wonderful location, close to restaurants, markets and more. The Roman ruins across the street were incredible. It was clean, very well maintained and the owner was very attentive. I have made many trips to France and stayed in many wonderful places. This was one of the very best. I would love to spend more time there.

Better The Second Time.
My wife and I stayed here in September and loved it so much that we came back for a longer stay. Trying not to repeat what we wrote in September leaves little to say except everything was as great as we remembered. We were here for Bastille Day and had a front row seat for the fireworks right out the bedroom window! Very cool. Once again Allan kept in touch via email so we never lacked for attention and information, including a suggested tour route for viewing lavender which proved excellent.
Maison Vaison provides all the comforts of home. It is so much more than a "home base" base for seeing the area. It is truly a comfortable home where you can just enjoy "being" and we will definitely return.

The love of Provence and the opportunity to own our own house in the wonderful Village of Vaison la Romaine was a dream come true. We have just experienced the joy of having our daughter and son in law and 2 young grandchildren 7 & 5 to enjoy our wonderful new home situated directly across the street from 2000 year old Roman Ruins. To experience Provence village life together was a thrill of a lifetime.
