Mountain Breeze Experience

Our overall stay was great. There were plenty of rooms and space for our large group of 14. There were a few issues from the previous vacationers but I took pictures and communicated with the hosts and it was taken care of. The house does need some attention, such as lighting, plumbing, and updated furniture. But the house was clean and tidy when we arrived. I loved that the house was literally right down the street from Wisp Resort! We had a great winter vacation!

Clealiness

The property could be so much better. The house is outdated and not well-kept. The linens smelt terrible, and the house was not clean. The kitchen is untidy, and the trash area is dirty. The outside had trash or remnants of it. All throughout felt unkept.

We appreciate you taking the time to leave us with your feedback, Venus and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you experienced during your stay with us. Our Railey staff strives for a 5-star clean with each stay, however, we are only human and sometimes we do miss our mark. In the future, please do not hesitate to call our office and we will quickly send out a housekeeper to remedy any issue. I hope that you and your group had an otherwise good experience during your stay and that you'll allow us to host your group again in the future. I'm confident we can prove ourselves a favored vacation spot if given another chance! Madison, Railey Vacations

On the plus side, Mountain View was a convenient centrally located and comfortable property for our annual family long weekend of fellowship together. It was the right size and had the normal conveniences. On the constructive feedback side, the housekeeping prior to arrival overlooked the need for bedclothes to be washed or changed in one of the bedrooms - it was covered in hair (dog? human? both?) and my niece and her husband using that room had to spend the first evening washing the bedclothes themselves before they could use the bed. Also the property shows signs of being well used and could use some maintenance and updates. Also in terms of constructive criticism, one is very aware that one is dealing with a large property management company - everything is automated system communications and no personal touch whatsoever during the process. For instance, after arrival I got an automated text asking how the housekeeping was with three choices for happy face, neutral face, and frown. I selected frown. It never gave me the chance to enter what the issue was with the bedclothes. I got another automated text which said someone would be in touch, and that never happened. Also note that there is very little parking, and a neighboring house (also a rental by the same property management company) is very close, such that we were painfully aware of the very loud domestic dispute going on next door that upset a couple of our teenagers who were outside and heard it.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback—we truly appreciate it, and I'm sorry your arrival experience fell short. You're absolutely right: those bedclothes should have been properly prepared, and that's on us. We've documented this with our housekeeping team to prevent it from happening again. We also sincerely apologize that your initial concern went unaddressed after you submitted that feedback. While we do use some automated systems for efficiency, concerns like yours deserve a real conversation. Mountain Breeze's location is truly special, and we want every guest to have the welcoming, personal experience your family deserves. Thank you again for your honesty. Madison, Railey Vacations
