If you are looking for a quiet place, to spend your holiday away from the noise and the crowd, we can offer you to rent a holiday house or apartment in charming place called Donja Krušica. We attract guests that wish to bring their families on the island to get a taste of true island living: a simple, healthy and traditional life.
House was build in 2013-2014 and it has 2 floors:
• Apartments "Vila Vita" on Šolta Island Croatia (A) - apartment with patio
• Apartments "Vila Vita" on Šolta Island Croatia (B) - apartment with sea view
Each apartment has capacity of 5 people (including kids) so if you rent all house our capacity is 10 people maximum (including kids). The owner needs to be informed in advance about number of guests.
Swimming pool is in used only during the season more or less from 1st of June – 1st of October. This also deepens of weather and how apartments are booked. The usage of the swimming pool could be postponed for week or two. In that case you will be informed in advance via email if the pool would be out of service. Apartment A and Apartment B can use swimming pool.
House is situated around 45 meters above sea level, 200m from the sea, (inclination 20%) and because of that it is not suitable for the disabled person, very old people or people who have problems with walking.
Please also note that nearest public transport is 2km away from the house (in Donje Selo) and that it would be best option if the guest will come with their car. Please note that distance from Donje Selo to Donja Krušica seems to be short but it is ”steep road” so you will have difficulties with walking/carrying heavy things.
How to find us?
From Rogač you can drive by car to Grohote, where you turn right to Donje Selo. There is a road from Doje Selo to bay Donja Krušica. Whole way by car, from Rogač to Donja Krušica, last around 15 minutes. Island Šolta has a public bus transport as the taxi service but if you want to rent a car you should do it in Split and transport it by ferry to the island. With public bus you can’t reach the house. Nearest place where bus stops is Donje Selo. House is not so easy to find that is why we will contact you few days before your arrival and pick you up in Donje Selo in front of yellow church.
The only, and official road that leads from Donje Selo to Donja Krušica is narrow and there are road extensions every 10-20 m so that cars can pass each other. Every normal passenger car is able to pass the above-mentioned road. There could be some problems with extreme low and extreme wide cars (eg. van) if driver is unexperienced. In that case if the guests want to be safe they can leave their personal cars in the Donja Krušica harbor where there is a public free parking and the host will transfer guests personal belongings from port to apartment with their personal car. Distance from the Donja Krušica harbor to the Vila Vita is about 500m.
About Donaj Krušica
Donja Krušica has several pears located 200m from the house and it is perfect places for suntaning. Water is clean and transparent, also there is one natural beach (10 minutes walking from the house) where you can enjoy in peace, magnificent view and beautiful clean sea. Šolta is full of small, public beaches where you can enjoy in nature, crystal sea and intimacy. In Maslinica you have diving center where you can rent diving equipment or and learn how to dive. Donja Krušica does not have any super market, cafe bar, restaurant etc. For supplies we recommend you to go at Grohote, which is far 10 minutes by car. There are two big shops, bakery, fish market, butcher's shop, open market, post office, pharmacy and newspaper shop. There are ATM-s in Grohote, Rogač and Stomorska, and exchange office in Grohote, Rogač and Maslinica. In Grohote, there is modern ambulance, in case you need medical help. If you want to have fun, we recommend you to visit Nečujam, where are swimming pool, tennis and volleyball playgrounds, discotheque, pizzeria, cafes and confectionery shop.
About island Šolta
Šolta is an island in Croatia. It is situated in the Adriatic Sea in the central Dalmatian archipelago, west of the island of Brač, south of Split (separated by Split Channel) and east of the Drvenik islands (separated by the Šolta Channel. Its area is 58.98 km2and it has a population of 1,700 (as of 2011). The highest peak of Šolta is the summit Vela Straža which is 238 meters high. On the north-eastern coast of the island there are the large bays of Rogač and Nečujam. In the western part of the interior of Šolta there is a field approximately 6 km (4 mi) long and 2 km (1 mi) wide. The economy of the island is based on vineyards, olives, fruit, fishing and tourism. While the main settlements (Grohote, Gornje Selo, Srednje Selo, Donje Selo) are inland, the main fishing centers are Maslinica, which is exposed to only north-westerly winds, making it a good shelter for smaller boats. Rogač is the main port.
