This is a great place to stay! Beautifully decorated and so clean in a quiet neighborhood that feels out of town and quiet, but is so close to the lovely Parkville downtown. Savannah was so communicative and helpful! I highly recommend this property for a chill retreat!
Our host had a great spot for us to stay. Close to the "downtown" area for walking along town and shopping boutiques, then walking along the riverside. Quiet neighborhood. Great overall experience!
This split level duplex was the perfect spot for us. Downtown historic Parkville was awesome to visit. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The host was responsive to the few questions we had. Cutely decorated!
This property is well kept, clean, and updated. It’s a very simple property the host has set up well. She had some simple amenities that are nice and most properties don’t have such as shampoo, soap, q tips, coffee maker with Pods, etc.. it’s located in a quiet area that feels more like small town then the big city. Parkville downtown area is definitely worth checking out for entertainment and food. Overall a very nice place to stay and enjoy a vacation at.
We really were happy with this property. We were in town for a NASCAR race and this was the perfect place for our family of 5. There is a lovely little downtown just 2 km away that was perfect for a stroll and a drink. You can check out great little shops and antiques. The home was clean, nicely furnished, and had everything we needed.
My daughters and I stayed one night while attending a wedding. Savannah is a great hostess and provided many amenities to make us feel welcome. House is decorated beautifully and was everything we needed.

The duplex is well decorated; I don't know if it was just for Easter weekend or always, but it was very springy with little bunnies everywhere! Just adorable! There were plenty of supplies (paper towels, to, etc) and the linens were soft/plush.The beds and couch were very comfy. Our son and his fiance live in the area, so we'll definitely be back to visit and will look at availability here again.

Beautiful place to stay during a difficult family time
Savannah's Blue cottage was such a wonderful place for our family to stay during a difficult time. My nephew is in end stages of his battle with leukemia, and we needed a place to settle in for the week, with our two small dogs, while we spent time with the family.
When we arrived, we found a homemade lasagna and Cesar salad kits in the fridge, and we were able to share the a home-cooked meal with the family as they stopped by.
My brother, sister, and their families were able to stop by, as were my nieces, and it was so nice to have a space where the kids could meet up and act “normal” for a few hours ❤️
All of the family commented on how nice the house was, with the Iowa pine soaps, the decorations, and the open, airy, feel; everything was so wonderful.
The Blue Cottage was such a nice respite during an impossible time, and we really benefitted from Savannah's hospitality.
I stayed at the Blue Cottage with my parents to attend a graduation party for my niece. It was clean and had plenty of space for the three of us and more if needed.
The location is a little out of the way of everything but it’s not easy finding something close to where we were heading.
The listing needs a little work. There are many steps into the property and then it is a split level, up or down when you go in. Most would not find this an issue but my parents are older, one has a bad knee and the other a bad back. There is not a single picture or description that there are so many steps involved. If I wasn’t with my parents I don’t know that I would have even thought of this but for those that would be challenged by that many stairs, this should be known.
We also had my parents’ dog with us. After reserving, I received a message from the host that I had to pay $65 separately for having an animal. The morning of our stay I received a message with the house code that also stated that the dog was not to be left in the house by itself. If these are the rules of the property for animals, they need to be specified in the listing, not typed in a message the morning of the stay. It would have been impossible to find another place to stay or receive our money back for our stay at that point.
So we had a nice stay but the listing needs to be more accurate with the intentions with pets and definitely needs to show renters the amount of stairs whether in pictures or description.
