Great location

Herbage 5A location is great for mountain access. Bus stop is right across the street. The unit was clean and the kitchen has everything you might need and has been nicely updated. Communication with the property manager was really good. We had a few minor issues and they were addressed very promptly and professionally. There are a few areas we thought would greatly improve the property. The lower living room would be much more useful if the fireplace was functional and there was a TV (it looks like there was one there recently). Also, use of the grill wasn’t permitted although it is pretty standard with vacation rentals. Overall, this is a nice unit with lots of space and in a very good location. I recommend renting this property.

Disappointed; but in retrospect, proabably adequate for the price.

The unit was clean and generally well located for skiing. The Retretia shuttle service was excellent. Unfortunately, the unit itself was a big disappointment. It is not a luxury townhouse that recently received a high grade remodel. It is a dated unit that received an inexpensive make-over. It is inadequately furnished. Bedrooms and living quarters are spread over five levels so you are constantly walking up and down stairs. There is very little natural light in the unit. We went out all the time because we didn't want to do anything other than sleep in the unit. The hot water broke twice while we were there and there was no propane for the grill, although Retretia responded well to both of these concerns. I jokingly told my wife that the architect who designed the unit should have his license revoked but the photographer that took the pictures of the Unit for VRBO should win an award. In retrospect the unit was relatively inexpensive, so maybe the price was right for what we got. But, the description is definitely misleading.
