About this property
Cozy two bedroom house close to Middlefield, and not far from Route 80 and 422
You'll get to stay in a former Amish buggy shop that we turned into a cozy two-bedroom apartment. We live on the same property as well, in the main house across the driveway. You'll be 15 minutes away from Middlefield and close to the center of Amish country. Nelson Ledges is a beautiful park with huge rock formations hiking trails only 8 minutes away from our place. We run a small farm, so you might see some sheep and cows or chickens in the pastures behind the house. We live on a fairly quiet back road, and the house is 600' back in off the road. We'll be happy to let you look around the farm if you like or just stay to yourselves. The apartment isn't anything super fancy, but it's cozy and comfortable.

I did a little hiking in the area and the house turned out to be exactly what I needed after a long day. Very quiet location. And extremely clean. And the host was very active and easy to communicate with.
We enjoyed our stay and have nothing bad to say. Was quiet and peaceful. Owner was very responsive any time we needed something. Would stay again if we are in the area.
We loved our stay! We were looking for a quiet place to get away to and be out doors and this cozy place checked all the right boxes for us. Everything was clean, and fresh flowers in the table even! I absolutely loved the decor of the cabin! The nearby hiking was wonderfu too! We will recommend this place and keep it in mind for our next little get away! 😊
My daughter and I made the trip from NY to attend the Mt Hope horse auction. Our Amish friend whose family lives 15 minutes away made the trip with us. We stayed close so he could also attend. Mt Hope was about 1.5 hours away, but was a quick and pretty ride!
10/10 will definitely be staying again next year. Home was clean and welcoming! Beds were comfortable, lots of hot water. We received a surprise of oatmeal cake it was delicious and great for breakfast!
NO complaints here!!
I can't say enough good things about Paul or this property! Originally booked for my mom & myself but ended up being only me. The home was so clean, comfortable, and just...peaceful. I hadn't felt that relaxed in a long time!
Everything one could need is provided. Beds are comfy with plenty of pillows and extra blankets. Shower has great pressure, and the towels are nice & fluffy!
The grounds are available to explore, too. My last night there my daughter and 2 year old granddaughter came with me and the owner's dog met us when we pulled in. It was the SWEETEST dog ever! Even after seeing the sheep, I think the dog was my granddaughter's favorite part of her visit!
If you're ever in this area and need a comfortable place to stay with a truly congenial host, please contact Paul. You will not be disappointed!
