Tastefully decorated this lavish property boasts master bedrooms, linens for the beds provided and towels for the occupancy of the home, a private pool and a soothing hot tub, from the top decks and the ship's watch you can catch a glimpse of the sea.

There are several outdoor activities such as basketball and shuffleboard. But the piece de resistance is the stair tamer on the lower level making it easier to transport luggage, groceries and those larger items that are a handful.

BEST family vacation ever!!

Beautiful spot

Great property, great location. Wish there had been a door code instead of physical keys and that it wasn’t therefor necessary to stop by the property manager’s office 30 mins away. At one point I mentioned to the PM a minor maintenance issue. They sent someone promptly to address it which was nice but the maintenance person did show up unannounced. These nitpicks aside, we’d be happy to rent the house again.

Great backyard-we especially enjoyed playing shuffleboard. Pool was nice,but the solar panels didn't seem to work, the water was very cold. Very kid friendly. Glad to have gates on the deck stairs and top stairs. Perfect size for our family. Kitchen well supplied. A 2nd frig would have helped.

Perfect Ocean View Location!

Our stay at Salt n Light was perfect. We had five adults (35-68), and six children (8-14), and we had plenty of space! This home is very clean. The beds are very comfortable and the bedrooms offer plenty of space to unpack and move around. All of the adults enjoyed having their own bathroom as well! The living room furniture could certainly be more comfortable (wicker), however this didn't effect our level of satisfaction much since we spent most of our time outside on the beach, having coffee on the deck, swimming in the pool/hot tub, playing horseshoes, shuffleboard, volleyball, bike riding, etc. They thought of everything! When indoors we enjoyed doing puzzles on the table in the ships watch, and the children watched a couple movies in the sunroom. The kitchen had everything we needed, and was an easy spacious room for plenty of chefs to move around in at once. The refrigerator and dishwasher down to the toaster and coffeemaker were all nice name brand appliances. We even made waffles in the waffle maker one morning! Again, these homeowners have thought of everything! Their attention to detail did not go unnoticed on our group. The location to the walk on beach access was right across the street from the house. The children were able to safely go to and from the house and beach. We can't wait to return to the Outer Banks and we'd be more than happy to stay at Salt n Light when we do! Thanks for a memorable family vacation!

Reviewer Comments: we love this homelove the updates that have been done over the yearsbeen coming to this house now 20 yearswe know the family and they are wonderful peoplewe know you can't update everything at one time but the outside exterior of the home does need updated- paint, etc.it's like home away from homeas far as getting the keys- it is not customer freindly to have to wait til 4pm to get a key and then have to drive up to the home- when you are to be able to get in your home at 4pm. you all know traffic at that time! needs to be an office in timbuck II or something for the homes that are up at that end.more attention to cleaning details should be made- overall it was good just little things

Great House but not clean

It was close to the beach and the pool was great. However, the house was not clean upon arrival. It looked like some of the bathrooms were not cleaned. There was what looked like poop on one of the bathroom walls and short black hairs in the was really gross. When I call to complain, it was after hours and I was not able to talk to anyone. By the time someone called me back I had already cleaned it myself. Not how I wanted to start our family vacation.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were happy with the location. It was helpful to have a beach cart and chairs provided. This property is very outdated though and could use a lot of upgrades. Shower pressure was horrible in some of the bathrooms. My daughter got a huge splinter in her toe walking up the deck steps. Bikes were advertised to come with the house; however we were told once we got there and asked about them that they were no longer coming with the property. There were a few things in need of repair which we had to call to report. We were not super impressed but also not completely disappointed.

Only complaint we would have is it still needs a deep clean as bathroom shower drains needed cleared of hair. Crumbs of food under/in furniture and beds. Outside pool area was great. I would remove the bikes from the advertising as bike were not present.

CLEAN and SO CLOSE TO BEACH
