Relaxing

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was the 2nd year my family has rented surf Rider for our family vacation, we love it! I've already reserved it for next year. It is an older home so if you're expecting perfection look somewhere else. It's a charming family style home with a lot of space great location to the beach and sitting on the porch watching the waves is heaven. It's a larger family size home with space for everyone. My family loves it it's our home away from home. The only thing I would change is softer beds.

A Decent Stay

The place is within a short walking distance to the beach and about a 5-6 min walk to the nearest restaurant, Fish Heads. In my opinion, the house could use some TLC. It seemed a bit dirty, there were cobwebs and dust on the walls, ceiling fans, and light fixtures. There was mold on the ceiling and corners of two bedrooms. The front deck was okay, you needed to wear shoes on it due to rough boards, and nails sticking up. We also, noticed that the top step of the deck was coming off. We could live with the outdated furniture, however, there were stains and holes in the sofas. The A/C worked great and kept everyone cool. The WIFI and appliances worked well. There are 5 doors to the house, but one door lets you in. When you arrive it leaves you stumped - scratching your head trying to figure out how to get in. Well, you enter through the master bedroom at the bottom of the house and not at the front deck (where you would think you would go in). Overall, it was a great stay at the OBX and I hope this house gets the TLC it deserves!

Great Beach Getaway!

It was ok

I could live with the outdated interior you can see in the pictures, but two rooms had some mold on ceilings and the porch was in rough shape. We had to keep shoes on because the boards where a little rough and nails sticking up. The house had plenty of room and a/c worked great and it was in a great location. It just needs some TLC in my opinion.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great stay at the Surf Rider rental in South Nags Head. It is a perfect location and so close to the beach. So nice to have the covered porch and to have so many bedrooms and baths. Only thing that would be helpful is to have a key to the door where the porch is or to the laundry room. You have to go through the bedroom to get into the house so not ideal. But we have rented this place 2 years and have been happy. It is an older home with not many updates which is why the price is more reasonable for a rental so close to the beach. Would love to have a large pot to cook things in and maybe fix the fridge so you could put items in the door. Over all we really enjoyed ourselves and hope to go back again.
