Lots of Potential
Overall we enjoyed our stay but the property has some room for improvements that would make it amazing! The pool seemed to have a leak and we had to add water daily and the drain cover was missing which is quite dangerous. The patio and screened in porch is a great space for hanging out.
The carriage house is over a garage and the stairs to get up to it are in need of repair. The left side has visible detached nails. Once inside, it’s a nice space for a couple however it could use a dehumidifier as it has some mold or mildew growing in the bathroom. The shower curtains also need replaced. It has a kitchenette, but no table to eat at. The main house had a similar issue with musky smell. The checkout instructions ask guests to run the dishwasher but we found multiple dirty dishes in the cabinets. We found the induction stove difficult to use but it seemed to work properly once we got the hang of it. All the area rugs in both living spaces need replaced as well as several pillows that were just very dirty.
We were pleased to find that a pack and play and highchair were at the house since this was not in the listing. Our group had already brought our own. The property is walkable to the beach but the section of the beach straight down the beach has a very tiny public area. We had to get there at 5:30 in the morning to secure a spot. There were other public areas a couple blocks didn’t the street but I would plan on renting a golf cart if you rent this property.
