Our home lost water due to a power issue with a well so i rented this home to solely use for showers. I emailed the owners if I could get in early, no answer. When we got the code the code did not work. Apparently VRBO did not advise the owners there was a booking. I emailed but got NO response. Luckily there was a window opened. I finally got a response 2 days later at 2:30 AM phone call from owners. Who does that? It was never resolved we had to leave the house open.

Home needs some repairs
Dusty, 1 tv didn’t work, not enough toilet paper or bath towels, caution tape around front entrance and wood with screws in front yard, leak in kitchen ceiling g coming from
Shower upstairs. A washcloth found inside sink garbage disposal side, upstairs bed not on frame and sister fell off, a outside chair falling apart and almost broke, one of the small tables top lose, no light working on outside back porch. Not enough pillows or pillow cases, not enough kitchen hand towels, and smelled a Lou musty not to mention we were told to not turn down AC unit to get cooler in house because unit can freeze up on us. None of these things were mentioned to us prior to booking.
We loved returning to "our cabin in Fletcher"! Lots of space to hang out - read, play board games, relax, and visit. The kitchen is well stocked making it easy to prepare meals and enjoy time with family. The neighborhood is quiet and welcoming.
Our hosts, the Burnetts, were responsive and very accommodating.
This house is one of a kind! It’s an upscale log cabin with amazing features and furniture. Very well stocked with everything needed and things we didn’t expect to need! Owners are so nice and helpful. We usually don’t need so much space but if we visit with so many family members we will definitely book here again!
The house was amazing and had a great mountain feel with the custom wood work throughout the house and the property. The bunk house was a bit farther than expected from the house access and had a musty smell during the stay. Other than that the house was a perfect spot for the trip

The house is warm and cozy
The alarm system was a challenge. It malfunctioned a few times and the property owner didn’t respond. Thanks fully I had the code from staying there before. We couldn’t go out the front door. It would go off even if it was disarmed. The bed in the loft bedroom squeaks really bad and is disturbing. Other than that it’s fine.
Nice large home. Light and fan switches a bit confusing. Hard to get temperature control right both up and downstairs. Carpets are dingy. No pets allowed but noticed lingering cat urine odor in places. Convenient to grocery store and restaurants.
I loved the cabin! It was even better than the pictures showed. I just had one minor issue concerning the shower door that was handled by the owner quickly and competently. There were 10 in my family who stayed there comfortably ranging in age from 18 months to senior citizens (us). Besides the beds and sofas, there were two roll away beds and plenty of sheets, blankets, and pillows. And our two teenagers loved the little bunkhouse out back with two beds, a T.V. and a microwave. What more could a teenager ask for! LOL! The location was also great. You are only minutes away from a CVS, Whole Foods and Ingles and almost any type of shopping you would like to do. The only drawback was the neighborhood. As charming as the cabin was, it would have been more perfect if it was situated on a mountainside. But then you would lose the quick accessibility to the stores, I suppose.
Such a cute cabin with a funky vibe. Beautiful hand carved staircase and stone fireplace. Plenty of room for our group of 4. It’s like a hunting lodge, a woodsy cabin retreat and grandmas cottage all at once. Close to Asheville and Hendersonville and right around the corner from the Sierra Nevada Brewery. We had a wonderful time.
The cabin was very clean and spacious. The host was very quick to respond to any questions. The host was also very thoughtful on some of the small things provided, such as coffee and coffee filters. We would definitely love to stay there again.
The home was beautiful and bedrooms were unbelievably spacious. There was a gorgeous carved staircase as well. A couple of the lights would not turn on however and at first we had trouble with the code. The owners were quite easy to reach and we rectified that quickly. I would definitely stay there again.
This cabin looks better in person. It exceeded our expectations. It has lots of room and was very clean. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.
We had a great time staying in this unique cabin! The kitchen was WELL STOCKED with pots, pans, dishes and utensils. I brought a few things from home, but really didn’t need them. My aunt, who lives in Asheville, was able to come and spend the day with us on Saturday. So many great spots to sit and catch up!
We enjoyed a short walk to a nearby coffee house and neighborhood is very quiet!
House was spacious enough for everyone to have plenty of privacy. Close to Ashville and Hendersonville, where we ventured out for several days. Really enjoyed Lake Lure Beach, especially the splash park for my grandson! Very clean and had all of the necessary things to cook in and grill out.
We enjoyed our stay in the cabin. Plenty of room in the cabin and my grandson loved the bunkhouse. Nice backyard with fire pit.

BEWARE! DO NOT BE FOOLED
"Cabin" is in a terrible neighborhood! Property is shared by what looks to be squatters in a broken down trailer park. Cabin has old furniture and broken pingpong table. The owner tried to scam us in to paying for the pingpong table that was already broken with false claims that we broke it. Also had pans from 20 years ago and claimed that we damaged it and wanted to charge us for that too. Charged for extra people staying and then gave us no access to the room with the extra beds. After our stay tried to keep my deposit. I had to get VrBo to help settle the issue. NEVER AGAIN. DO NOT BE SCAMMED or Victimized!

Not Satisfied
Check in instructions were incorrect - delayed entry due to missing key not being communicated properly.
The surrounding area was underwhelming and the photos of the property were somewhat misleading.
However - the house was fun and interesting and worked fine.

About the host

I am a native of North Carolina who instantly fell in love with the property and the surroundings. Spending time at Single Pine Inn brings me a sense of peace and tranquility. I love being able to share this beautiful log cabin with others. So many people tell me they have also fallen in love with it. The local people are so friendly and welcoming.
Why they chose this property
The log cabin is in a very quiet neighborhood and very convenient to many activities. The local people are so friendly and helpful. The entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway is within a couple of miles. The Asheville airport and Ag center is 3 miles only 3 miles away.
What makes this property unique
Single Pine Inn is located in a wonderful location between Asheville and Hendersonville. It is a real log cabin built in 1940. The staircase was handbuilt with many animals in the railing with a large grizzly bear on the landing. There is also an indian, cowboy and a Daniel Boone on the railings. The town wanted to list the cabin on the historic registry . For those with 8 to 10 guests, we have a 2 twin bed bunkhouse. The teenagers really enjoy staying there. The diningroom area will seat 13 people with kitchenware for the large groups. We have many spices, flour and sugar on hand. It is truly a home away from home.
