About the host

Hi there! I'm originally from Central Illinois Farm Country. Since then, I've lived in many countries, including Costa Rica, France, Spain, Panama and Canada, eventually finding my way to Vermont by way of Manhattan, NYC. All of these places and people have influenced and inspired me along the way. I bring that eclectic mix of worldly as well as down-home Midwesterner influences into the way I approach life and the way I create. I love color and creativity. Creating "Magic Worlds" where one can immerse in beauty filled wonder is one of my specialities.

Luckily, I have been able to translate my love of design and inspired decoration into what I do for a living. I joyfully designed Sparkle on the Rocks to be an eclectic oasis of bespoke beauty.... always including the elements of whimsy and surprise!

I also own the "Sparkle Barn" which is a gift shop that combines immersive art installation experiences throughout. The Sparkle Barn is located next door to "Sparkle on the Rocks." You will love visiting "The Sparkle Barn." We have visitors come from all over the country, even flying from over seas just to experience the Sparkle!

Can't wait to share a little bit of my world with you!

Why they chose this property

I love Vermont. Wallingford is a quaint town with a lot going on for it!

What makes this property unique

Built in the early 1800's, this Grand Damme is a beloved local landmark and is listed on the National Historic Register. Locally known as the old "White Rocks Inn" she was a Bed and Breakfast in the '80's - early 2000's hosting many newlyweds and hundreds of other guests celebrating their special days. The name "White Rocks" comes from the spectacular views of White Rocks mountain.

Last year, Sparkle Barn owner and artist Stacy Harshman purchased "White Rocks" and gave it a deluxe make-over and re-named the property "Sparkle on the Rocks." Each room has been lovingly designed to evoke wonder and to inspire the senses and one's imagination!

The home has also been improved with a new paint job, new furnace, heat pumps, a glassed in porch and many repairs to ensure a comfortable stay. And to ensure that this beautiful and historic property is here to stay!
