If one route is closed, it is the YOUR responsibility to make alternate plans for travel. NO REFUNDS will be given at any time of the year simply because an alternate route must be taken and add additional travel time. Highway 20 is closed in the winter and mountain passes can be closed anytime of the year because of wildfires, rockslides or other occurrences. NTERNET POLICY **We strive to provide the best internet service we can get here in the very rural Methow Valley. Internet speeds vary throughout the valley and outages or tech issues can occur that we have no control over, and for these reasons NO REFUNDS are given if the internet is problematic. We also do not guarantee that the internet will meet your work/school needs. Should you have an issue with internet service, please send us a message through VRBO describing the problem. We will then contact you to troubleshoot. If the issue is not resolved, we will then contact the internet provider, and/or homeowner. Please note... our valley is very rural and getting service personnel to fix things in a timely manner can be a challenge. We rent lodging, not office space.
Public internet is available at the Winthrop library with enhanced internet speed (parking lot or inside the library). Alternatively, for a fee you can go to the Dropzone in downtown Winthrop. Thank you for your understanding!
IMPORTANT WINTER INFORMATION POLICY : **Should you travel to the Methow during the winter months it is important to understand that you must be prepared for winter driving(keep chains, shovel...in the car) and all the inconveniences it causes you and the community you are visiting. The weather can be extreme with large snowfalls, unexpected technical issues, frozen pipes, impassable roads/driveways). If it snows while here you will have to wait for plow service just like every other person in the valley. There are a limited number of plow companies and Methow Reservations nor the owners of the house are in control of the plow company schedules. They have many different contracts and many miles of roads, driveways...to plow. If a plow person or a snow shoveler shows up to clear any area around the house, please do not argue with them or turn them away. Move your vehicles if asked. Your cooperation and patience are required especially after any significant snow accumulation. Should you get stuck you can call Classic Towing in Twisp, WA
**WEATHER CONDITIONS**
We cannot be responsible for weather conditions. If you will be arriving during the winter, please be sure you have proper equipment for driving in the snow, and carry tire chains for driving over the passes. Our local roads are always kept open and in good condition for winter travel. There are no refunds for road closures; however, if both Stevens and Snoqualmie mountain passes are closed for more than eight hours and the closures prohibit you from reaching the property, you may reschedule your stay for an arrival within three months of the pass closures. Please note that the North Cascades Pass is always closed during winter.
We recommend you check weather conditions before driving through the passes during the winter, either through the DOT's website

It was in a very nice area we chose this place due to its pet friendliness. We had family staying at a place down the road so it was nice having our own area with the dog. Overall a good stay and would book again.
The location was perfect walking distance to downtown. Nice river view. Good restaurants and outdoor activities nearby. Great for our weekend getaway. I would be happy to stay again.
The hosts thought of EVERYTHING! Wonderful unit with a gorgeous view of the river and surrounding mountains. We stayed for 3 nights but would have loved at least a week here. Then communication between the host and I was top notch. There were snacks and water for us upon arrival and the unit was warm and toasty even though it was cold outside. The bed and couch were super comfortable and I appreciated the lush comforter and extra large pillow. Electric fireplace with thermostat was all we needed during our stay and it provided a nice ambiance. From q-tips to scissors and power cords…if you forgot something, it’s probably available in unit. We will book again for our next visit!Thank you hosts for a lovely stay.
The unit was clean, as shown in the photos, and exactly what my daughter and I needed for a weekend in town. The views out of the window were glorious. On one day there were deer just on the other side of the glass.

So happy you enjoyed your stay and got to see the locals passing by;)
This was one of the best VRBO properties we've experienced (and they've all been good). It was clearly designed by someone with great attention to detail, keeping in mind the comfort and convenience of two people. It's a great location, with a beautiful view of woods, river, and mountains. It was quiet and clean and had everything we needed, including a very comfortable bed. I recommend it without reservation! We definitely plan to stay here again.
Attention to details was lacking. The coffee ground dispenser was empty and the coffee pot.had used filter of coffee in it. Overall until was kind of dusty and such..

Thank you for your feedback. We will pass this onto the cleaner.
Coffeemaker was falling apart and sink faucet kept falling off. View was wonderful and air-conditioning was MUCH appreciated. Could not figure out how to just get the news on TV; very complicated system that we were unfamiliar with. So…some disappointments but overall a nice, quiet place, close to town.

Glad you were able to enjoy your stay despite the problems listed. We appreciate the feedback.
The property is nice. Little studio type apartment with a small kitchenette area. The property is a 5 minute walk to downtown shops and restaurants. There is a small river behind the property where you can watch deer. The main downfall was the lack of flexibility with a one night cancellation of 4 nights we stayed due to family circumstances. The property manager granted zero leniency citing a 60 day cancellation policy which seems absurd. Other than this though the check in/check out and property itself was very nice.
We spent several days in Winthrop to ski. Our unit was very comfortable…it was the Ripling River Suite, a spacious studio/room with a king bed, 2 reclining lounge chairs (complete with fleece blankets for coziness), a kitchenette area w sink and essential appliances (microwave, coffee maker, toaster, hot water kettle, no stove top), and a very large bathroom. The view out the window overlooks a river and mountains/hills in the distance. It felt very private and quiet. There are other units in the building which were vacant when we were there, so we aren’t sure how quiet it’d be if they all are occupied. It Management was very responsive to messages. Check in is remote…was a little hard to get the lockbox open…had to reset the dial several times before the correct code would actually open the box (maybe pulling the top cover down before resetting did the trick?). Overall it was very pleasant, and we’d stay there again.
