228 E. FACTOR'S WALK is a spacious, luxurious, one-of-a-kind loft apartment located in the Paxton Building in Savannah’s historic Factor’s Walk overlooking River Street, and the Savannah River.
Factor’s Walk is one of the most important historical areas of Savannah. The lower two levels were constructed in 1817 to house cotton coming into port. In 1853, three more floors were added. The third floor that houses our Loft was used for additional cotton storage and the two upper floors for offices. “Factor” was the name given to men who estimated the amount of cotton in a shipment. They calculated or “factored” the amount of cotton and its worth.
The exterior walls, massive doors and balcony have been pain-stakenly preserved and restored at 228 E. Factor’s Walk to maintain the historic integrity of the original building. The Loft features the original interior walls of exposed brick and stone. The stone was used as ballast in ships that sailed to Savannah from England, and upon reaching port, used to construct the cobblestone streets of Savannah and walls in Factor’s Walk such as ours. Inside, the original perimeter walls of exposed brick and ballast stone blend with with the modern sophistication of our curved hallway, pocket doors and bamboo flooring. Architectural features, including a granite bedroom wall, onyx tile bath and stainless and granite kitchen make every room special. The Loft features original artwork by some of the South’s top artists, along with ancient Asian artifacts and antique European accessories.
Our 1,500 sq. ft. two bedroom, two bath loft with a fully furnished kitchen is the only residential property overlooking River Street and the Savannah River that features both an original “stoop” and a ten foot balcony off the master bedroom overlooking the Savannah River.
The master bedroom features a king-size bed, balcony overlooking the Savannah River, and a luxurious full bath with Jacuzzi tub and shower. The second bedroom is furnished with a full-size bed and has a full bath with shower.
Our fully equipped kitchen features Thermador and Bosch kitchen appliances for eating in, or you can just step out the door and walk to some of Savannah’s finest restaurants.
228 E. Factor’s Walk Loft offers wonderful views of the Savannah River as well as the convenience of location in the heart of the City.
Savannah is home to a myriad of historical and cultural attractions, terrific tours, the best in Southern Cuisine, as well as shopping and numerous festivals scheduled throughout the year.

Parking is available in metered spaces on Bay St. There are also public lots and decks nearby. The City of Savannah offers 24hr and 48hr Visitor Day Passes. Visitor DAYPASS is available at: Sav. Parking Services, 100 E.Bryan St. only a block from our condo.
All Historic Savannah has to offer is in walking distance of our condo. The Historic Districts, museums, endless shopping, Plant River District, City Market and Savannah's finest restaurants are only steps away.

Our condo is self check-in. Guests are given security codes to access exterior door locks on the patio for entry.
