My friends and I stayed one night at this amazing place and had an incredible time. The house was peaceful, well-equipped, and had everything we needed—from the cozy fireplace to the scenic pond. The host was incredibly responsive and provided all the details we needed for a smooth stay. It was a relaxing, beautiful retreat that exceeded our expectations. Great property! It offered the perfect space to get away from the daily stresses of life. The outdoor space allows you to enjoy nature but is well maintained enough to not be overwhelmed by it. The covered patio made it easy to enjoy sitting outside even in the Mississippi summer. The interior spaces are nicely appointed and very comfortable. It was the perfect cozy and secluded getaway we were looking for!

This is one of our new favorite spots, wish we had booked a longer stay. It is beautiful and secluded, and so peaceful. The cottage is gorgeous, immaculately clean and has everything you could need, with lots of thoughtful touches. We brought food so we didn’t have to leave during our short stay since nothing is close. Kitchen is perfectly stocked. Can’t wait to find time to book again. Lauren was such a great host.

A Stargazer’s Dream

This property is immaculately maintained! The rental is extremely well thought out. We were in awe of all of the little things; from tons of towels, soap, condiments, coffee, firewood, Lauren thought of everything! We could not have asked for a better cottage in the woods. This location shown on a National Geographic map has very little light pollution making it the ideal location for stargazing! It was an easy drive on highway 59 from New Orleans. Lauren provided directions that were simple and easy to follow! I cannot say enough good things about our experience!.

We wanted somewhere secluded and quite with beautiful sunsets and surrounded by the National Forest.

We are tucked into the National Forest. We have trails to explore, a outdoor fireplace to enjoy and a pond to throw in a line (Spring 2024).
