Long disappointed rant! 😞
We booked this house for Easter weekend for the family... 6 adults 6 kids. The listing shows 8 bedrooms... it's not. There's 5 bedrooms but indeed 8 beds and still plenty of room for the fam. We brought food to cook so we could save money on eating out because let's face it... there's a bunch of us and that would be a pretty hefty bill. The morning of our arrival date, I had to reach out to the host in order to get the check in details. Never had to do that before but ok that's fine I guess. Being that check in wasn't until 4pm, we didn't take the day off and still did the normal work and school days. We arrive shortly after 7, at 8pm a lady is walking up to "check the water". At that moment we realize there is absolutely no running water in the house. Ugh. Well, there won't be any cooking going on at this point. So we end up having to eat out and spending another $200. Texted the host, she apologized and offered a refund told us she understood if we needed to make other arrangements. It's after 9pm, where is a party of 12 going to go? We just had our normal days and then spent 3 hours on the road... we're tired and the kids definitely don't want to get back in the car. Next day the plumber comes and says the pump is gone. Said they had come a week prior to and replaced the primary pump but did not have approval to change the secondary pump and that was the one that was blown. Basically, you knew and only refunded half of the total when you could've saved us a whole trip.
