Disappointing

The property owner emailed us the night before we arrived to tell us they would charge us to use the towels in the apartment. When we arrived the sheets were not clean, hair and a shard of glass in one of them. There was considerable dust in the apartment. There was also no toilet paper. The advertisement said one of the beds was a bunk bed, but there was no bunk bed. The location/neighborhood is not great; gritty, a lot of construction, poor food/shopping in the immediate vicinity. Overall, a very disappointing experience. Taipei is a great town, and I appreciate that affordable accommodation is difficult there, but this was far below the standards I have come to expect for a VRBO rental.
