About this property
Luxury Modern Marin Farmhouse in the Heart of Mill Valley
This stunning 4 bedroom modern Mill Valley farmhouse blends traditional design with modern architecture. Featured in House Beautiful and Martha Stewart Living magazines, the home was designed to celebrate the shared living spaces blending indoor and outdoor living seamlessly. The owner is a professional pastry chef and wanted the kitchen to be the heart of the home. This great room opens onto the outdoor bluestone patio and large yard featuring a bocce court and wood burning fireplace taking full advantage of the ideal climate in Northern California. The home has a wonderful library room with a vast selection of books and games as well as an upright piano. For cozy nights at home, there is a home theater with a large sectional sofa and surround sound stereo.
Nestled in the foothills of Mt. Tamalpais, surrounded by Redwoods, and next to Richardson Bay, Mill Valley offers a distinct feeling of connectedness to nature. Downtown Mill Valley - with a number of cafes, restaurants, shops, and art galleries - is a short drive (3 minutes) or stroll (15 minutes) from the home.
Mill Valley is also the epicenter of some of Marin’s most iconic events, including the Dipsea Race, the Mountain Play, and the Mill Valley Film Festival. There are an abundance of hiking trails in, and near, Mill Valley. Our home is a short walk to the Dipsea trailhead.
The best way to get around is by car. There is much to see and explore in Marin County and San Francisco. Most points of interest are 15-30 minutes from the home.
