Cute little house with everything you need! Only thing I might recommend is an extra chair or love seat in living room, other than that everything was as described, if not better!!

Eclipse from Mattoon

Home was convenient, comfortable, clean, totally well stocked and just the right size for 3 of us! Mattoon is an interesting little town and we enjoyed Nieman's grocery store, The Original Burger King and the Honey Bee. We also visited Thomas and Sarah Lincoln's Log Cabin and park! Thanks Shane!!!

Third visit

This was my third time staying this place. I go to visit a friend 1 to 2 times a year. I’ve never had any problems. The host is always quick to respond. It’s very clean and the neighborhood is usually very quiet. I plan on continuing to stay here every time I visit!!

Great Stay and great host!

I stayed at this property for 2 days due to work and I was highly satisfied. The house was very welcoming, smelled amazing, and was decorating nice. The host was exceptional and made sure all of my needs were met. The fact that the essentials were provided plus some made my stay even better. I didnt have to worry about packing everything under the sun because it was already there. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to visit Mattoon.

We just needed a place to sleep

Everything was fine. We got to the house after 9pm, took a shower & went to bed. Got up at 6am & left by 7:30am so did not utilize the property.

Unpleasant place

The place had someone’s stuff all over. The fridge was full of someone’s condiments and partial boxes of beer and wine. There was a dried up used rag on the table. A towel was hanging in the bathroom which we could not determine if it was clean or dirty. We had to look around for clean towels, which were found piled on a chair in the laundry room. They did not feel clean and fresh. There was trash already in the trash can. The bathroom trash can was covered in old dirt and hair. The kitchen cabinets were full of someone’s old spices and other pantry products. It just didn’t feel clean. We only slept there, but I did not feel good crawling into the bed.

Rented for three months for a summer job. Host said he’d send cleaners monthly but they came once and didn’t clean because there was stuff there so they couldn’t clean? Then after checking out we got charged 250 extra by the host because the house wasn’t as clean as he expected. Yet it was three months during which he didn’t uphold his promised cleaning. Supposedly there were gnats and maggots in the home but upon asking for photo evidence he said they already got rid of them. He instead sent pictures of the bathtub with a single bottle of soap in it as if that was messy. And some unkempt cords. And a closet that wasn’t packed the way he liked? I couldn’t even tell what he was upset about in the pictures he sent. He said the place was “trashed” but all I could see was mussed up bedding and pillows in the wrong places. There was some food left on accident as well and he was very upset by that. Just a fair warning if you don’t like surprise charges. I’m attaching the pics of what he sent to us and said was trashed.
