Our retreat
My wife and I enjoyed our mountain retreat to this cabin. The journey getting there was intimidating as we arrived in a snowstorm, but with a good four wheel drive we were fine. They did a good job keeping the roads plowed as well as the driveway. Cabin had everything we needed, well equiped and cozy. Unfortunately, the fireplace was out of service due to storm damage. We are bid fireplace junkies so this was a real disappointment on those cold snowy nights. Overall, our experience was a positive one!

Great Cabin Bad locat
A great fairly new cabin with high end furnishings and appliances. Beautiful views. Unfortunately no dressers in bedrooms for clothes and no dining room table; just 3 chairs at kitchen island. The biggest problem is it’s in aver bad location on the south side of Hoosier Pass which as we discovered is prone to frequent traffic jams and closures in the winter. We on numerous times spent 1 - 2 hours just going a few miles over the pass due to the snow and traffic jams due to semi’s with no chains and 2 wheel vehicles stuck!. Then there is the local road with its steep incline and switchbacks that wasn’t plowed as well as the unplowed county road. We couldn’t get out of the top of the driveway and onto the road until a skid steer from the neighborhood’ came and plowed a path for us to get out. This wasn’t done until almost 10:00 AM and as a result missed ½ day of skiing. I had to purchase snow socks @ $150 for the AWD SUV which didn’t help the driving. I contacted the cabin rental office only to be told Sorry, but the listing states 4 wheel drive and chains may be required. Nice, but you can’t get a 4 wheel drive vehicle with snow tires and chains at the Denver Airport car rental. We also had to pack up our last night and drive to Buena Vista/Colorado Springs to Denver Airport out of fear of not being able to get out of the cabin and surrounding roads in the morning. I’ve been coming to Colorado to go skiing for over 55 years and have a lot of experience driving the mountain

Best cabin in the mountains!
Such a great cabin! Clean, has everything and the views are incredible! We had a blast sledding right out of the front door as well as skiing at Breckenridge only 20 minutes away!

Perfect ski getaway
This home in the mountains is the perfect escape. The interior modern decor is beautiful. The house has everything you need. The hot tub was perfect after a long day of skiing. The house is up in the mountains, so a 4 wheel drive vehicle (with chains for winter time) is necessary. This home is perfect for a couple or family. We hope to be back for another great stay!
