Stay at this large Key West style Siesta Key vacation rental home minutes to Siesta Key village and beaches. The property offers a private backyard with heated pool. Located on a quite street just 1 mile from Siesta Key village puts it at a perfect distance for a easy bicycle ride in the mornings to grab some breakfast or a coffee at LeLu Coffee Lounge. 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths brings you back inside with a large open living room and kitchen with breakfast bar. The master suite on the main level is furnished with a king size bed, sitting room, and en-suite bathroom with access to the pool. Upstairs you have 3 additional bedrooms furnished with 2 queen and 1 twin bed.

MINIMUM STAY REQUIREMENTS: One month minimum with the exception of 2 week reservations a maximum of 30-days in advance. Only 1 reservation may exist in any given 30-day period.

You really need to clean the vents and ceiling fans. I was sick from the dust all week. The deck is a nightmare, was afraid I would fall through the rotted wood. Nice location, very quiet.

House not liked pictured but still good location

Drove 17 hours. Went by there. Cleaning lady was there. Went back a few hours later and no one was there. So i emailed the place to see if we coould get in. They told us no. And finally let us in 45 till 4. Which was riduculous with no one being there. Pool was cold. Grill was out of gas. Deck boards need replaced. But a great location to the beaches

In desperate need of renovation/repairs

The place looks like a frat house. Every square inch of this house needs renovation and repairs. The furniture is old and broken down. The place was filthy. The carpet is so dirty and tired it looks like it’s from a crack house. The owner of this house just needs to pause the renting for a few weeks and remodel/clean/repair/update this house. The location is great right on Siesta Key but that’s about the only good thing we can say about it. We seriously considered just abandoning the house mid way through our month stay because of how bad it was.

Nice location, great pool...but house is tired and needs cleaning.

Stayed there in August with family and grandkids . The house is comfortable overall and well-equipped. Nice residential area, quiet. The property is in dire need of a cleaning and upgrade. The carpet has big stains throughout, clearly has not been cleaned in a very long time, there is dust build-up on the blinds and most horizontal surfaces. Since this is a popular rental, there is definitely not enough time between rentals to fully clean it. The exterior needs attention in many areas. The washing machine broke down. It was replaced one week later. Meanwhile, we had to go to the local laundromat before part of our group departed and incur some out-of-pocket expenses (sixty dollars). Management declined refunding us, claiming that they adressed the problem and expedited the fix (agree). This was a disappointment as this request was for money we had to pay out of pocket due to an appliance, not working. (which was part of the rental). We were asking for a refund and not some compensation..... Would rent again if condition is improved.

Needs Updating and not Pet Safe

I think the furnishings, notably the couches, beach chairs, beach umbrella, kitchen table, stove, and vacuum cleaner need updating. The TV is very small. These improvements would take the listing from 3 star to 4.5 for me. I thought the kitchen was well stocked. We had AC issues twice during our 3 week stay and it was dealt with within 24 hours...thank goodness it wasn't too hot. I liked the location. The sheets on some beds were not clean..blood stained and hair pieces which was a little gross. Most importantly, the back yard contains Sago Palm seedlings and our dog ingests two and spent 24 hours in the animal hospital. HIGHLY HIGHLY Toxic for dogs. Vet said he would have died had we not brought him quickly and even quickly doesn't guarantee survival. The part of this that upset me the most was that the property manager reached out to his boss and property owner and he told me that those two people actually laughed because they said it was plentiful in Florida. I understand that completely but their response of their laughter to my dog dying was infuriating. Couldn't they have received out and been a little more compassionate? Either way, the owner will not remove the tree near the patio with the bright red seed pods so beware if you are bringing a pet. The vet said if a dog ingests this and it goes undetected, the dog WILL die within days from liver failure. I guess the owner's response is consistent with his lack of care and updating of the house furnishings.

Great stay!!!

The management resolved this issue relatively quickly. Pool was nice, neighborhood quiet and the weather beautiful. The jacuzzi stayed hot but I think it should be upgraded eventually. That's really the only downside' we could think of. I definitely recommend this place.

Sandy Shore Stay

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was clean and very roomy. The beds were comfortable. The furnishings, i.e. bed linens, towels, shower curtain, rugs and carpets were tired, worn and stained. There was not paring knife in the kitchen. I had to buy one. The pool water heater did not work properly until someone came and fixed it. The gas grill was old and rusty. I only used it once. Interestingly, the day before I left, the property manager came and replaced it.

Dirty Pool & Hot Tub

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home was as described on the website however the pool & hot tub were very disappointing. When my family and I were looking at properties to stay in Siesta Key we chose this location specifically for the pool & hot tub feature, even though it was further distance from the beach/shops. However upon arrival we found the pool was filthy and the hot tub had not been cleaned any time recently and had a particularly awful smell. After reaching out to management via phone/email we finally received an email back two days later saying that “pool maintenance comes by once a week.” It seems strange to me that they would not make sure the pool/hot tub were cleaned before guests check in. What else might go uncleaned? There was no vacuum or skimmer available, I would have gladly cleaned the pool myself if that was an option so we were left to wait in hopes someone would come to clean it. At this point, both the pool and hot tub were unusable. Finally (after checking in on Saturday) someone had come by on Wednesday to clean the pool while we were out...but they didn’t clean the hot tub. The hot tub was still disgusting and gave off a very distinct smell when removing the cover. My family was able to enjoy the pool for the few days we had left in the vacation but the hot tub was never used. The house was fine. A little outdated but good space for a family. However I would not recommend this location for anyone that hopes to use the pool or hot tub.

It was clean and comfortable although we could have used some more towels with 8 people we were short over the course of our stay. The outdoor space in the backyard was the best feature and spent most of our time out there and at the beach.

Great property!! Horrible Management!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We left behind a bag full of dirty clothes. I emailed Joe (owner) to explain and I called Amanda to see if someone could please go there and look for the was either in the house or accidentally thrown in the trash can outside on property.. She said she would call the property manager and and see when they could get over there to check. my husband also called and spoke to her. The next morning I emailed Amanda and Joe again asking could they please go to the property and check the trash and bring the bag to their office we would drive 4 1/2 hours back to pick it up or pay for it to be shipped but we needed to know it was in a safe location. I explained we have a son with Down Syndrome that has sensory issues and most of his clothes that he will wear without throwing a tantrum were in that bag. My husband called her again to check in.. She told him she had left a message with the property manager and had not heard back and wasn't sure when he would get around to check but she would let us know. She emailed me the same thing.. after 3 days of trying to reach them and not hearing back my husband gets through to see what's going on.. She says the property manager went by checked the property 3 days ago and found nothing. . My husband asked why she didn't contact us to tell us as we have been waiting to hear something.. She was rude and not willing to help from the very beginning! Meanwhile no response to my emails from Joe the owner at all! They are the management company.. We had no one else to contact to help us!! Their office is less than 10 minutes from the property! She didn't even offer to drive there herself check for the bag or anything. Her number is the after hours emergency contact for the property.. Somehow she is responsible or in charge!. Over $1900 for the week we paid to stay there and this is the customer service we get in return. Don't leave anything behind because you certainly won't get it back!

Our Month on Sandy Beach Drive

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house has character. It is welcoming with a covered porch. Lots of natural light is part of its charm. We found its rooms furnished with lots of drawer and closet space. Kitchen had every thing you need to cook in. The location is an easy walk to Siesta Village shops and the beach. We enjoyed walking there in the morning for breakfast and mini doughnuts. We enjoyed the pool daily. Since it is so close to beach we saw a lot of beautiful sunsets. We would definitely stay there again.

A few glitches made us unhappy

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: we arrived to find to a cold hot tub showing an error code. NOT HAPPY!! We paid an extra $150 for pool heating to find it set at 82 degrees in December. The pool area is lush with landscaping (and mostly shady during day) dotted with spot lights and walk way lights.....none of which we could find a way to turn on. The only lights in the entire area were up on the deck area which left the pool and back yard in total darkness!! I sent a second message that evening Regarding lighting for backyard. After all, when in siesta key, you are on the beach during the day, and expect to come back and use the pool at night. Since the messages were sent after hours i waitied to get response the next morning. A person did show up late morning and look at the hot tub only to tell us it needed a part and it wouldnt be available til Monday due to the holiday ! (Our rental was wed. - wed. ) i finally called the rental company regarding the backyard lights and was told they would email the property owners. I expressed my extreme displeasure with arriving to a rental that had a Broken hot tub and said I expected a partial refund. We never heard another word. This was our Christmas vacaction with our three adult children and to have a hot tub that was broken and a backyard that was useless after dark, really was disappointing!! The rental agency was not helpful. Washcloths/hand towels were scarce and awful. the rental company should spring for a package of $10 washcloths at Walmart. Minus these issues, the house met our needs.The location is ok, although the walk got old after a few times, and the back roads to the house are not well lit after dark so we drove several times into the village. Never did get to use hot tub during our week stay :(

Easter break in Sarasota

Reviewer Comments: We needed to head from the UK to Sarasota for Easter to spend time with our daughter who is studying at Ringling College. We have visited Sarasota many times now and always stay in villas as it gives us the freedom to do what we want, when we want. We found the villa to be clean, tidy and in a very quite part of the key. The pool was a good size, which is nice as most Florida pools are small. The garden was shaded by big trees but that was beneficial with the sun blazing down. The pool had sun on it from 10am to about 4pm. Air-con was quite and worked really well, the room layouts were good and the lounge layout and kitchen worked well for us. Although the house is not new, there were no areas that were "dirty" or really worn, there were some areas that had been touched up and the paint shade didn't quite match, but it was minor. As with most US villas it took a while to work out which light switches did what, there were a few lights that we just could not find the switches for, but they weren't important. The pool and outside area had no lanai so we were concerned that we were going to be eaten alive, we got some bites but with insect stray and candles we managed to survive. Will definitely go again.

My stay at sandy shore

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The pictures online of this rental do not really show how run down the property is nor the facade of the house. I did find the house clean although upon arrival I was required to fold over 30 towels that were in the dryer from the cleaning service. The towels in this facility need to be replaced as they are old and thin. They is insufficient bedding for the upstairs bedrooms. The grill was dirty and also old however it was replaced with a new one by the rental agency upon my complaint. The pool was well maintained weekly however often dirtly because of all the debris from the surrounding trees. There was no proper cleaning tools for me to maintain the place over the month particularly no dust buster or small brush for the dustpan. Sandy beach is in a nice neighborhood with alot of dog friendly people. The accessibility to the beach however was only by car and the parking lot in Siesta Key was full by 10:30. I was surprised that there was no beach chairs available for me to use. This area has lots of great restaurants and good food. Shopping for food was also great with a Costco and Trader Joes nearby. All in all I would not recommend this property to a friend or relative.

Great central location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a nice time overall. The house is well-laid out, and it is conveniently located just a few streets off the main blvd for the Siesta Key village, and only about five-ten minutes or so from the beach. The street was very quiet and safe. The backyard is small, with the pool taking up most of it. Pool is okay, and it took almost four full days to get it warmed up. If you want to get sun by the pool, this is not the house for you: it is surrounded from the east side along most of the south side by palms, and then the house itself blocks the western sky.

Wonderful stay as always

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 3rd time at this home- so we clearly like it! Love the heated and private pool, the large master bedroom and bath, and comfortable living area. Pleasant 20- minute walk to town to enjoy dining at our favorite- The Blu Que. Loved visiting my favorite dress shops and hair salon too, and of course daily visits to the beach. Too bad we can't return due to the rental rules requiring a one-month stay and within one calendar month- not practical or possible with our travel schedule. Appreciated the convenient app provided by the agency.
