My family has been vacationing at this lake house since my father built it in 1975, and it’s been our favorite summer tradition ever since. Set in a quiet, spacious cove with almost no boat traffic, the house offers one of the best swimming and fishing spots on Tims Ford Lake. The water is warm, clear, and perfect for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, and just relaxing by the dock—which has a shaded roof and two porch swings we love.
Fill your days with swimming, boating, waterskiing, fishing, bonfires, and simple, joyful meals together. It’s peaceful, private, and surrounded by nature—birds, fish, and quiet waters.
Beyond the lake, there’s golf at Tims Ford State Park, hiking trails nearby, a charming old-fashioned drive-in theater, and fun local spots like the Jack Daniels distillery. For dining, we enjoy the floating restaurants—Drafts & Watercrafts at Twin Creeks Marina and Blue Gill Grill at Holiday Landing. You can boat or drive to them. There are also some great restaurants on Winchester’s town square.
We provide a couple of kayaks, a paddle board, a canoe, and life jackets, and you can rent pontoons at nearby marinas if you want more lake time. For us, this house isn’t just a getaway—it’s a place full of memories and everything we love about summer.
