Amazing Stay

Located right on the river and it was wonderful. Waking up in the morning and the first thing you see is the view of the water. Beautiful place and loved the deck area. Owners were very responsive and it was so relaxing. Will definitely be booking this lovely house again. Thank you for a wonderful vacation.

Serenity by the River

Perfect spot for my solo trip!! Morning coffee and an evening glass of wine overlooking the spectacular view of the river provided beauty and peace to my days. The location was central to every activity and place that I wanted to experience. The Tea Festival was great! Did some hiking, and enjoyed fantastic meals at a variety of restaurants within a 30 minute drive (which is nothing when you’re from Texas). My home away from home offered all I needed.

Location location location

Communication with the host was quick and seamless. The property is located in a nice neighborhood right on the river. It has a beautiful deck overlooking the river. Great garden like area with a firepit. Great little house with everything you need. Ten minute drive to downtown Oregon City and 30 min drive to Portland. If we are ever in the area we would stay here again.

in town get away

This place was lovely for a quick get away. Very small and quirky and a bit dated, but in a great location. Bathroom door was broken and it seems like the place could use some TLC. No blinds on the windows so the afternoon sun blasts in on a hot day. The internet was not great for working which is what we planned to do during our days. The host however was responsive in sorting this out. Still, a very slow internet connection if you need to do video calls.

River and Portland

Great place! Sweet view of the river from the deck. The river itself is pretty lazy and it was easy to use the kayaks. Just a short carry down the bank to the edge. The inside is cute and cozy. The roof in the upstairs sleeping loft is very pitched, so very short at the edges of the bed but tall in the middle. The stairs up are pretty cool but also require some getting used to. Recommend sobriety for the first couple of times. Good kitchen, clean and well appointed. Big shower in the bathroom, no bathtub, everything was spotless. Easy and relaxing.

We had a wonderful stay! It was truly a perfect retreat from our busy lives! The neighborhood is quiet and lovely. There is a house next-door, but we rarely saw the neighbor. And you should probably know that there can be lot of ski boats that go up and down the river during the day. But for us they became part of the background and not a problem in anyway . The cottage is cozy and because of the wonderful large deck and gorgeous view of the river, we spent a lot of our time there so it felt perfectly spacious. We loved swimming in the river and took full advantage of the 2 kayaks! It’s great to be so close to Portland! Yet because we were so comfortable, we surprised ourselves and ended up only going there one day of our 6 day stay! The bed is very comfy and I agree with the others who said that if you have mobility issues, the steps to the loft are probably not for you - also, mobility issues could make bringing the kayaks up and down the hill from the yard a challenge. We are very grateful that we found this lovely cottage. We would definitely come back here again!

The location is amazing, there are so many good spots nearby for food and attractions. It is so quiet, the main thing you hear is wild animals. This was my first time in Oregon and I will be back again!
