About this property

Tiny Home Retreat with Sauna and Forest Views

Escape the noise and reconnect with nature in our cozy tiny home, tucked away in the heart of the Slocan Valley. Perfect for those seeking solitude, adventure, or simply a breath of fresh air and clean water, our retreat offers a true escape from city lights, cell towers, and day-to-day distractions.

Wake up to serene forest views from the loft bedroom, sip your morning coffee or tea on the private deck, and let the stillness of nature restore you. Relax in the clawfoot tub (in the nearby bathhouse), detox in our barrel sauna, or explore our magical little forest and permaculture farm (enjoy fresh seasonal produce) on the lower property.

Step outside and take a short walk to the 50 km rail trail, perfect for biking, cross-country skiing, or peaceful riverside walks. Pristine lakes, scenic hikes, and abundant wildlife are all within easy reach. Plus, we’re located right on the Selkirk Loop—a spectacular road trip that can be explored in a day.

Centrally located, we’re just an easy and beautiful 40-minute drive from Nelson, with access to charming small towns, hidden hot springs, and local gems. In Winlaw, a short walk leads to a local favourite Sleep is for Sissies restaurant, a grocery store, a gas station, and unique shops.

At night, gaze up at a sky full of stars, undisturbed by city lights. And yes—your four-legged family members are welcome to enjoy the adventure with you!

Come experience the magic of slowing down.

About the host

I moved to the Slocan Valley in 2020 from Victoria BC. This beautiful quiet and pristine mountain region won my heart and is now truly home! I love to share this with others as well as my love of tiny minimalist homes and permaculture farming.

Why they chose this property

The river, the mountain views as well as the convenience of being able to walk to basic amenities and the local bus.

What makes this property unique

Our Nomad Microhomes tiny house is adorable and very well thought out. Small in space but loads of light and comfort. Our hand crafted barrel sauna is a treat, we built it using cedar harvested from our forest!
