This nicely updated 1-bedroom condominium has valley views. The well-equipped kitchen has granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, new cabinetry and a flat cook top stove. There is seating for three at the granite kitchen counter with accent lighting. The living area has a flat screen TV with a DVD player and a gas fireplace. The bathroom has been nicely updated with a granite vanity.

The Rockies Condominiums are within walking distance to the Mountain Village, the indoor year-round Tennis Center and the Strings Music Festival pavilion. During summer, enjoy the easy stroll to the Steamboat Ski Area promenade and the refreshing Rocky Mountain stream that flows through the base area, where summer activities and events such as free concerts and art exhibits enhance Steamboat's splendid summertime surroundings.

Located on the free city bus route (Steamboat Springs Transit - SST), there are two stops by the complex, Lower Rockies and Upper Rockies. This route loops around the Rockies and makes various stops at the mountain area on its route back to the Mountain Village/Gondola Transit Center. A Mountain Resorts shuttle is on-call (winter only) nightly from 6pm-10:30 pm for easy evening trips to downtown Steamboat Springs or the grocery store.

Our professional front desk staff is available to our guests every day, and check-in is available 24-hours a day in our conveniently located welcome center on Mt. Werner road. Great condo. Easy access to slopes. (5 minute walk)Excellent shuttle service in the evenings. I'm sorry I never got in pool/hot tub but it looked inviting and people were using it regularly. Quiet community. Would definitely rent again.

Great property!

You get what you pay for

Really close to the mountain and quiet area. The condo has what you need, but we have stayed in multiple condos in this same building and this one was by far the most abused. New and updated kitchen and counters but the bed was horrible and the fireplace worked if you sat right in front of it.

Just ok

This property looks much better online than it does in person. I gave it 3 stars due to the location (which was great, a 10 minute walk to the gondola) and the pool. The property itself is old and though it has had some remodeling (newish granite counters), it’s still old. It smells musty like dirty carpet mixed with a slight scent of gas from the pilot light in the fireplace. The windows do nothing to insulate and the unit gets VERY hot in the afternoon, like roasting hot, unless you keep everything shut up tight all day. I stayed here with my husband and daughter and it felt too small for us. We would not stay here again.

Most vacation rentals in Steamboat do not offer air conditioning, and there are only a few weeks every summer when it's hot enough to warrant A/C. Keeping windows closed and curtains pulled during the heat of the day is the best solution to combat the afternoon heat. Once the sun sets behind Emerald mountain, things cool off pretty quickly.
