About the host
Hosted by Sangela Gibson-Wilson
I am the 3rd generation to own this property that this villa is built on. I am a born Portlander who is married to one of my own Portlanders. At a very young age my parents relocated our family to The Cayman Islands and all primary milestones in my life happened there. There I did all of my schooling, met and married my first husband (my children's father), had and raised my children, built my home and still refer to there as home.
Cayman is known for its seafaring heritage so naturally anything involving the sea is my passion. I enjoy swimming, snorkeling and fishing. It was a dream come true when I inherited this property that gave me a birds eye view of the ocean and developing it into BnB was another dream come true. I have spent many years in the hospitality business as a flight attendant and working for a major resort so serving my guests comes naturally.
I enjoy hosting because he opportunity to meet people from all walks of live can be very rewarding. Sharing our cultures and learning about other places is very fascinating to me.

Why they chose this property
Not much has changed in this neighborhood since my early memories. The same families are my neighbors and the helpful, caring country spirit is still alive. Ask anyone for directions or for recommendations and rest assured they are being genuine.
What makes this property unique
There are other properties nearby but none as private as ours. We are well off the main road at a dead end with no traffic noise.
