About this property

Hendersonville Hideaway - Cozy 1940s Cottage

About this space
Relax at this peaceful and centrally-located home in the quiet Druid Hills neighborhood - very close to downtown. Ample outdoor living space to dine, enjoy a cup of coffee, or chat around a fire. Cozy up around the indoor fireplace, watch the birds from the foyer, or enjoy a meal in the full kitchen.

Just a 20 min drive to DuPont, Pisgah, & Asheville. The Hideaway is the perfect base camp for couples and families to explore western NC!

We love western NC, and are excited to provide a space for guests to relax in, and explore from, that is clean and quiet. This is our home too, and we have done our best to craft a hospitable environment.

The house sits among tall pines and hardwood trees. Upon arrival, you will first encounter the expansive patio area. There is a dining table, gas BBQ, and additional seating for conversation and relaxing. The doors open to the foyer, which is a favorite spot to read or watch the sunrise or birds. From here, you will enter a spacious living room with plenty of seating around a gas fireplace and television. The kitchen is stocked with all of the basics needed to prepare your meals - dishes, pots and pans (cast iron in the oven), bakeware, drinkware, silverware, coffee/tea accoutrements, etc. Beyond the living room, you will find two bedrooms (queens in both), and a full bathroom. Comfortably sleeps 4, with a queen sofa bed option in the living room for additional guests. Starter supplies of paper products, trash bags, shampoo, hand, and dish soaps are provided.

Guest access: An electronic door lock allows easy keyless access.

Parking is off the street at street level, with additional space down the driveway in front of the shed. Take care on the steep driveway and stairs. Solar lights are present, and a motion light will turn on as you approach the house.

Other things to note: For whatever brings you to NC and the Hideaway, we truly want you to be comfortable, happy, and have a stress free visit.
