About this property

Farmhouse at Cattail Creek

About this space
The Farmhouse at Cattail Creek is located in the heart of Amish country family farms near Baltic, Ohio. Although Marv and I are not Amish we have many close friends and relatives who are. We appreciate our heritage and the culture around us. We enjoy sharing this unique setting with our guests.
The house is a big rambling farmhouse that will encourage you to relax and use all three levels to spread out. A deck and patio will encourage you to spend time outdoors as buggies and bikes go by.
The space
A large kitchen facing the dining area gives the main floor an open feeling leading into the living room. Off the dining room is a bathroom, bedroom and office space.

Upstairs there are two large bedrooms and a bathroom, with a common area containing a twin bed.

The finished basement is cozy with a fireplace and bookshelves. The washer and dryer can also be found down here.
Guest access
The farmhouse and lawn around the house are fully available to guests. Guests are not permitted in any other buildings on the property or in the surrounding fields.

Awesomeness!

What an incredible place. Unbelievably peaceful. The house was huge. 3 coworkers and myself had tons of room. It’s in the heart of Amish country. Lots of buggies and bicycles on the road. The sunsets were wonderful from the back porch. Can’t say enough great things about this place. Ruth’s cake was fantastic as well. Great hosts.

Awesome!!

The Farmhouse was great. Ruth thought of everything. The crumb cake was welcoming & delicious. Cleanliness was the best. Enjoyed reminiscing about the past. Reminded us of grandparents house. Loved hearing the horses go by. Definitely will stay again if we are up that way. e hoesesclump

Great place to stay!

This was a charming farmhouse with beautiful views! There are tons of gorgeous landscaped flowers and plants! The porch is a respite of beauty and serenity! There is a ton of room inside with lots of light and windows in the living room. A large master bedroom with an adjoining bathroom is on the main floor while the other bedrooms are upstairs. It has a nice open kitchen with plenty of dishes, cookware, and a gas stovetop! It's a great place to stay and the hostess had a homemade coffee cake waiting for us to enjoy!

Father's day trip

My father who is 95 has been wanting to spend some time in the Amish County so my sister and I found this house to rent. it was perfect we love the area it was very peaceful. The house was everything it said and very well stocked. We fixed our meals and enjoyed out time together. It was nice to have one bedroom on the main floor and a bathroom too dad didn't have to climb the stairs. Ruth was so sweet and answered any questions and responded to us quickly. she also had the BEST coffee cake waiting for us when we arrived. We would stay again it was a very relaxing stay.
