About this property

Take a nap or read a book while listening to the soothing sounds of two amazing creeks that run directly behind the cabin. This small and charming cabin was built in the 1950's with local rocks from Rocky Bottom. Recently renovated to include all modern amenities and well appointed comforts. Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains, this cozy cabin is part of the beautiful Jocassee Gorges and has numerous waterfalls and hiking trails within a short driving distance. Rocky Bottom is nestled in the forest directly below the highest mountain in South Carolina, Sassafrass Mountain. The waterfalls and rock formations in this area are an amazing sight to see. We hope you will come to take a break from the hustle and bustle and relax to the sounds of rushing water, birds singing and take a deep breath of fresh mountain air. Shopping and Restaurants are a short drive away in Rosman and Brevard. Come make some memories at Rocky Bottom Retreat!

Mountain Hollow Hideaway

This beautiful quaint cabin is hidden away in Sunset, SC. The smell of the spring mountains and the sound of streams greeted me as I got out of my car. The cabin was wonderfully appointed with all the necessary modern amenities and comforts. The cabin host thoughtfully placed water and snacks for those who might be considering a day hike or walk. Behind the cabin was a mountain stream, whose babbling could be heard right outside the queen-size master suite. Outside of the natural sounds of birds and streams, the cabin exudes peace. Outside of the cabin, you'll find a gas grill and a firepit just in case you fancy gazing at the stars while enjoying a little barbeque.

Perfect!

My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary! We had a great time! There was a perfect little picnic table and fire pit area where we ate our meals and spent most of our time. The kitchen was so well-equipped. The hosts were so kind and gracious! They were ready to help and made our anniversary so special. At night, we slept with the door in the bedroom slightly cracked so we could hear the little creek down below us. The location is great. It was easy to get everywhere we wanted to go. If we ever travel back to this area, and I hope to, we will certainly stay here again. Also, the house was affordable, which was one of the first reasons we selected this house. Turns out it was even more perfect than we imagined. Very clean and neat! Thank you, Bill and Lori!

My wife and I had an amazing time here. The pictures do not do it justice. A truly perfect and quiet get away in a beautiful cabin. Very close to very scenic trails and waterfall. Communication was great with the owners. We truly felt welcomed. We will definitely be referring and staying again.
