I moved to the city of Jacksonville 13 years ago from Los Angeles for a much needed change of pace. I remember the first time I visited Jacksonville on a trip from California visiting St Augustine. It was like nothing I had experienced before. My journey started at the rooftop at San Sebastian Winery and progressed to a stroll down St George street wondering in and out of the quaint little shops. I then had dinner at the famous Columbia Restaurant and then drinks at one of the local ale houses. The night ended with a fun and spooky walking ghost tour.
The next day I kept thinking about what an amazing experience I had on my St Augustine visit and how unique and different it was to the life I was accustomed to in LA. I told myself, one day I will own a piece of this beautiful historic city!
Fast forward to present day, I can't even believe I have made this dream a reality and I couldn't be more excited. I am an art major and graduated from one of the California art schools. When I laid eyes on this unique home I felt in my soul this would be the perfect blank canvas to transform into something amazing.
I spent every weekend at the house over the course of 3 months transforming the house into a piece of art now called the St Augustine Wedge House. This was a true escape and much needed refresh from my current career in the financial industry.
We are excited to take on this new adventure and share this funky space with our guests. I hope you feel the love and passion we put into this house and enjoy it as much as we do! Live life on the [W]edge :)

Why they chose this property
The house is located in the West King District which is just over a mile from the Historic District center. This is an up an coming eclectic neighborhood close to a few local breweries, coffee shops and cafes. I love the fact that it is close enough to be in the hustle and bustle of the historic city but just on the outskirts so you can easily get away from it all. Every 3rd Wednesday of the month they hold the West King market (walking distance from the house) which is an art and food market where all the local businesses on King Street open up and have vendors, art, food, etc for sale and often times live music.
The city is working hard to build up the area and several new businesses are moving in adding robust culture and opportunity to the city!

What makes this property unique
This is not just a typical house, it was designed and crafted with love and inspired by the local attractions and the vibrancy of Florida. It is filled with fun art and the rooms themselves are art installations crafted with my own hands and creative mind :)
