About this property
Superb Paris apartment in Latin Quarter on fabulous Boulevard Saint-Germain
Enjoy the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Parisien style! This magnificent apartment is located on world-famous Boulevard Saint-Germain in the heart of the Latin Quarter of Paris. Featuring living room, dining room, two bedrooms, one bathroom and kitchen, the apartment is on the sixth floor (fifth floor under the French system) of an historic Haussmann building dating back to the 19th Century. The apartment has a corner orientation and a wrap around balcony that runs the full length of the dwelling featuring wonderful views from all windows. The building includes a secured entry, an elevator, a husband and wife gardien team who is responsible for building maintenance and security, and a prime location on Place Maubert.
The primary bedroom includes a queen-sized bed while the second bedroom has two twin-sized beds (one slides out from under the top twin-sized bed), resulting in sleeping capacity for four people in total.
The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, cutlery, glasses, and appliances including refrigerator, electri stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker (capsule style) and clothes washer and dryer.
The bathroom includes a shower/tub and sink and is also fully stocked with towels and toiletries.
Without a doubt, the Latin Quarter is the most vibrant, historic and prestigious neighborhood in Paris. As the photos reflect, the exterior of the Haussmann building and Boulevard Saint-Germain are beautiful and the apartment is fabulously decorated and appointed. The apartment building is perfectly located on Boulevard Saint Germain. It is situated almost equidistance between Notre-Dame Cathedral and the Pantheon, steps away from Ile de la Cite and Ile Saint-Louis. Three days a week, a market springs up in the morning on Place Maubert offering local fruits and vegetables, meat, fish and poultry, antiques, art, etc. Supermarkets, cafes, patisseries, boulangeries are all steps from the building entrance. A few blocks away on Boulevard Saint-Germain are the famous Café de Flore, Les Deux Magots Café, and Brasserie Lipp where Hemingway and countless other French and American writers have frequented and sought inspiration. Also within walking distance are wonderful restaurants of every variety including Le Tour d’Argent, Les Editeurs, Brasserie Balzar and Brasserie Vagenende. Paris landmarks such as the Musee de Cluny, Jardin du Luxembourg, Arenes de Lutece, Saint Chapelle, Conciergerie, Musee du Louvre, Musee de l’Orangerie, Musee d’Orsay, and the previously mentioned Cathedrale Notre-Dame and Pantheon are all an easy walk away.
Literally just outside the building entry is the Maubert-Mutualite Metro Station which can be used to seamlessly connect to the entire Metro system in Paris as well as the excellent and efficient Reseau Express Regional (RER) train system. Paris also has an excellent network of city buses, many with stops on Boulevard Saint-Germain. The Metro, RER, and bus systems can be used to reach virtually all Olympic venues in and around Paris. In addition, just across the street from the building is a taxi stand where taxis can be found virtually all day and night.
For renters during the Olympic Games who do not speak French, the proprietor is happy to say that her English-speaking Parisian friend living on the seventh floor (sixth floor under the French system) of the building and her friend’s American boyfriend will be available to provide the keys, answer any questions, assist with translations, and help in any way.
The proprietor seeks renters who will stay for a minimum of four nights. The proprietor would be happy to discuss various time rental periods and she can be contacted at telephone number +33 06 14 69 02 80.
Come to Paris this Summer for the Olympic Games and live like the French do with passion and a joie de vivre in this Parisien apartment of your dreams!
