Review for NYE Weekend 2022
We booked this place about a week before our trip. It was the “cheapest” place available (price-wise).
We arrived early and asked if we could check in earlier than 4pm. The lady at the front desk said no and that we had to wait until 4pm. We went grocery shopping around the area and arrived to our place at 5pm.
First of all, you have to climb up 2 flights of stairs to get to the door. Be prepared. There were two people (in their late 20s) STILL cleaning the place— with shoes on. There were piles of trash bags outside the door. We were not able to get into the place until they were finished (close to 5:45)! We were unloading our car and waiting in the COLD!
When we arrived, the air inside felt musty. There were crumbs still on the table tops, chairs were dirty and there was still a “Happy Birthday” banner from the previous guests. The couches really need to be deep cleaned— they were old and had stains on it. The “trundle” as described in the description was just an extra mattress… We were hesitant on using the kitchen supplies— made sure to wash everything before we used it. The bedrooms looks old and honestly the same sheets as the pictures. Which made me question whether they actually clean out the sheets. The restroom doors do not lock, showers are pretty short and the sink was leaking. The shower pressure upstairs was very weak! Not only that, but we wanted to watch the countdown on the TV and the cable and network did not work. We had to stream it from our laptop. We were all pretty disappointed in this stay for the amount that we paid for 2 nights.
The positives of this stay… the heater works. There were plenty of wood for us to use for the campfire. Location is ideal because it is close to a grocery store, brewery, the village, and mammoth ski resort. I would be happy to give this place a better review if there were upgrades to this cabin.
