About the host
Hosted by Tom Palmer
The owners, the Palmer family have been vacationing here for three generations. They have a rich and deep attachment to the neighborhood. Originally from the area they are now spread from coast to coast in the US. Their motivation for sharing their beloved cottage is to help financially with upkeep and updating costs. This is not a full time rental, Harbor View is only available seasonally between family use.
The manager, Liz, lives next door owning and managing her own seasonal rental of an attached apartment since 2017. Having lived in the area since 1990 she is very familiar with what attributes are available and enjoys sharing local offerings with guests.
Both members of the Palmers and Liz have traveled, lived, and either studied or worked overseas so folks from near and far away can be assured they will be welcome and appreciated.

Why they chose this property
The neighborhood is generally quiet with only seven families and eight cottages. As Pine Drive is a one lane gravel road neighbors and guests drive slowly so hikers and bikers can safely navigate.
Numerous hiking trails start within the neighborhood and the right of way property next to the causeway offers ocean launching of small craft from mid tide through mid tide. The fresh water pond across the causeway is always accessible.

What makes this property unique
Harbor View offers breathtaking views of Sebasco Harbor through to the Iowan ocean of Casco Bay. Nestled among tall pines on a dead end camp road it offers solitude and the promise of a variety of outdoor activities.
The cottage is spacious enough to enable group activities as well as space to spread out for individual work or quieter choices.
At one time the cottage was used a bit as a duplex when the first generation insulated the original one story section for extended season living and added on the two story section for the younger family members. Therefore there are two kitchens, the main one with a dishwasher and electric stove and fully attributed and a smaller one with a gas stove. Both have refrigerators of course.
