A Frustrating Start
When we arrived at the home the front door was wide open. Very alarming. We had to check the entire house to make sure no one was inside and of course the house was pretty hot. Reached out and was told that someone was there the day before and that they must have left it open. Mistakes happen so we figured we’d just move on and make the best of it. After a sitting out at the beach while letting the house cool off, we decided to just go ahead and go back inside, realized the air was not working at all in the upper level. Called and they sent a maintenance guy to come look at it. He could not fix it. Said an AC guy would have to come either later that night or the next day but that they would give us a call and let us know when. The master and upper level was unusable. The next morning while I was in the shower I could hear someone yelling. It was alarming so I got out quickly and there was an AC guy INSIDE of the home. Not what you want to happen especially after the scare the first day with the door wide open! He temporarily repaired the unit and said they’d have to come back on Monday and repair it further. We have stayed in so many vacation rentals and have never asked to be given so much as a discount. We messaged and said that we felt that some concessions should be made since the entire upper level including master bedroom was unable to be used the first night and we did not get any response. Will definitely update if we feel that they make an effort to make things right
