About this property
Tranquility: near Carlisle, Harrisburg, Messiah, Lancaster, Hershey attractions
DESCRIPTION:
Whether looking for a restful retreat or hoping to visit one of the many nearby locations, this home is a peaceful and quiet location to settle in for a comfy night’s sleep. Plan to spend the evenings on the outdoor seating by the koi pond, listening to the frogs, and watching the sunsets. If you come in the spring, you will also hear the spring peepers (frogs) singing their mating calls at night. You can see deer out on what we lovingly call "the back 40"; they love to come out and eat the fresh grass looking for nuts from the chestnut trees.
FYI We keep the nightly price low so that it will fit everyone's budget; we just want to provide a clean, comfortable place for you to come and relax while you head out on daily adventures. As you can see from the pictures, the unit is welcoming and ready for you to come visit!
This refurbished mother-in-law apartment has a spacious living room, a beautiful curb-less tile shower with fold-down teak bench, a kitchenette with microwave and 2-burner stove-top, and a peaceful outdoor space. The outdoor space is shared with the homeowners; no worries, they roll up the sidewalks by 8 pm each night and you’ll have the porch to yourselves.
There is a 55-inch Roku TV in the living room and free wi-fi for your other devices. The door has a deadbolt and you have an access code that is valid throughout the duration of your visit. Check-in is contactless; you will be texted the door code for your visit.
Private, off-street parking for two cars is behind the house. Pull past the house and park in the area on the stones. Your private entry is on the back porch.
Please note: This unit is ATTACHED to our home. There is an insulated wall between the unit and our home and several walls between the unit and our main living area. We keep the porch curtains closed from supper until the am. We try to be respectful when guests are in the unit but you may occasionally hear us talking in the kitchen and may smell cooking smells (hopefully good ones!).

Check-out instructions
The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please make sure to lock the door on your way out - that's really all that is required.
You could
* Drop your trash and recycling in the trash corral when you leave so the unit doesn't smell funny.
* Strip the bed & leave the pile of bedding on it.
* Put all the towels in a pile on the bathroom floor. Or, if the towels are dry, in the provided hamper in the unit.
But, again, it's not necessary unless you feel the urge to tidy those things up before you leave. Strong habits are hard to break!
And, safe travels!
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
