Colonial Williamsburg Getaway

We stayed here while visiting Colonial Williamsburg with out teenage grandson. It was close in proximity and for our two night stay these accommodations worked well. Property was clean and had a well equipped kitchenette. It is a resort property and they offer a promotional tour but there was no pressure tp attemd. We would stay here again.

Convenient Spot

When we originally booked, we thought it was for a two bedroom with a fireplace. It ended up being a one bedroom with a pull out couch. Everyone got a place to sleep somewhere warm so not too bad. It was clean if a little outdated. And it is part of a time share community so they will offer you the presentation.

Not what we expected

First time booking through VRBO in a long time. We always use air b B and B. No communication with the owner after reaching out . Patriots place was excellent just not happy with our property . I like to know exactly what the property will look like, so next time I will book directly with patriots place and not through VRBO

Nice looking Property, needs upgrades

Stayed for a week, nice property, but still needs some upgrades. Our particular suite was upgraded in bedroom and bath, however carpet was in need of replacement, there was blood on the carpet in several places, the sofa had blood on the back of it, that appeared to be "removed" but still visable. The sofa bed had crumbs and food in the creases when it was pulled out to use. There was trash and food under the sofa. The walls are thin...we were a suite connected to another, and it sounded like the people next door were in our room. Upstairs suite was very noisy as well. Overall ok but needs work.

Total miss

Unfortunately, the location of our condo was less to be desired. When we first walked into the door to go to our condo we were welcomed with a terrible odor of cat urine. It was so bad. I assume there must be full time tenants that have a cat. It smelled so bad that it would carry into our condo. That was not a total deal breaker. What was though was the promised bonus of security and then to come back and see the main door being held open by a lunch box. At first we didn’t think much of it but then found later that they had taped the doors and made it so anyone could come in. Again, a full time tenant. I feel like we paid for more than we got. Total disappointment. Don’t recommend this resort.

The Hidden Agenda

When I booked this weekend stay for hubby and I, I was not aware we were going to be targeted to purchase the Wyndham points resort plan. Had I known I would have NEVER booked this space. Our keys were held hostage until we heard the initial hard sell. The young lady was pleasant and professional, but it was muvh!
