About this property
Jewel’s Covered Wagon
Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. Treat yourself to an amazing getaway in this lovely little covered wagon venue, electric only, detached restrooms, located directly along the banks of the Cumberland River. Enjoy a River view (can be partially obstructed by natural foliage in the height of the summer season as we leave it natural), take in the sounds of nature, birds, the flowing water. Wake up to an amazing sunrise. This cute wagon set up has a queen bed, table, bench seats, coffee pot, picnic table, fire ring, grill and a lovely deck to relax and watch the river flow by… situated in small campground. This is a camping in style type of experience.
The space
Queen bed with luxurious bedding, bench seating, shelving and storage. Deck overlooking the Cumberland River. The drive to the setup is a one lane gravel drive to the riverbank, can be bumpy.
There are multiple restroom options on the property , there is a portable restroom located at the site. a hot water shower, flushing toilet and hand sink on top side of property by RV park. The second shower house toilet and hand sink are located at the top of the lane that accesses is the Riverbank.
This does not have an attached restroom. Located within Clayton Geneva Campground.
Guest access
Cumberland River, wash house, portable restrooms
The covered wagon is located on the riverbank portion of the campground, you’ll use a one lane gravel drive to access.
Other things to note
This venue is located within Clayton Geneva Memorial Campground, a small family owned and operated property. There are 16 venues total throughout a 20 acre plot. it’s quiet here, of course it’s a little more busy during holidays, but in general the traffic is very low.
The driveway that serves this venue is a one lane gravel switchback drive that leads to the riverbank. There is parking at the venue or at the top side of the property. It’s recommended to bring drinking water, cooking and eating utensils, bathhouse supplies such as towels shampoos etc. NOTE TO GUEST considering this venue, this is not a full-size cabin, this cabin is electric. Only, This cabin has a detached portable restroom 30 feet away and access to two shower houses on the top side of the property ,this cabin is situated on a small campground that has other guests and other campsites, you are not on the property alone, operated mainly by one individual, there is not a front desk/office, the campground is on a farm setting, this cabin is not directly on the riverbank, and there are trees between the cabin and the riverbank obstructing a portion of the view of the river, the cabin is about 150 feet from the Riverbank, it is a riverbank not a river beach, the property is a natural setting grass is mowed once a week and some string trimming is done. However, most areas are left to nature. This is not a highly landscape, heavily sculpted property. The driveway that serves the covered wagon is a one-way one lane primitive gravel driveway that is left bumpy for safety purposes. I’ve went through a lot of trouble to make sure that the details of this listing are through and exact. Please do not arrive with renters remorse in a bad mood and complain about any/all of the above mentioned details as at check-in it is assumed that you’ve reviewed considered and accepted everything including the cancellation policy. Renters remorse is not an acceptable reason for a refund.
