Water level was high, so we had to drive through a little water to get there.(We were contacted beforehand and warned) great cabin and host will definitely be back!
Our stay was flawless! Communication and location wonderful.
Only concern from us to others the listing as waterfront is a bit misleading.
Everything was in good condition!
There were some spiders in a corner of the dining area😳

Caddo Lake
Pathway extending into lake was the best feature. 1. Dishes and glassware were dirty with food still stuck on them. 2 Water coming out from faucets would be clear for a few minutes then brown. Had to run into town for drinking water. 3. Received splinter from floor. And there were soft spots where boards would pinch your feet when walking. 4. Hot tub has brown scum along water line could have been from the water alone but was definitely unappealing. 5. Fireplace was not useable
We had a nice stay, the woodland dock is the highlight of the property! The accommodations are comfortable and clean. The mattress was very comfortable and the AC worked perfectly.
The only negative is the property is listed as Waterfront, but there was no water in sight. Reasonably, there is nothing that can be done except manage expectations of a waterfront property; in the listing it is mentioned that at certain times of the year, access to the dock is muddy, however, a better description would include that water levels are so low that there was no water to be seen, and for sure no fishing or kayaking from the property. Which, unfortunately for us, was the main goal of our trip.
