Perfect place for family

This is a lovely place on a working farm in the Ozark Mountains. We were in town for a family event and this place was perfect for our adult and children group.

Thank you all so much for choosing the farm as a place to gather with family. It was so nice to meet you all! We enjoyed seeing the little ones excited about the animals and would love to have you all back anytime. It will be raspberry season for the rest of the May and June should be filled with lots of blackberries! July should bring plenty of tomatoes.

Family Thanksgiving

Absolutely love the arrangement of the house. It worked perfect for 2 couples and our teenage kids. Our parents live in the area and came over for Thanksgiving and the home provided a very spacious living/kitchen/dining area. Plenty of room in all rooms and the house was fully stocked. Out in the country but not far from town. Loved having the chickens to tend to and fire pit out front was excellent. We loved our stay and will definitely be back.

Review of Sunnyland

Beautiful views & peaceful setting. Would have been very nice to have a washer & dryer onsite, a microwave & a dishwasher for convenience sake. We had to ask for replacement king size sheets & for towels to be washed & replaced. Also, the trash was overflowing by the end of our 8 day stay. It would have been appreciated to have the trash emptied more often.

We’ve never gotten a three star review, so it is disappointing. We work hard to provide a unique farm experience, not convenience. We are very transparent that the farm is a work in progress and does not include certain amenities so the poor rating and complaint about a lack of amenities is unreasonable. None of the items you listed as disappointments were advertised as available when you booked. I proactively offered to refresh the towels mid stay, so the statement that you had to ask for this service is not accurate. When you messaged that you couldn’t find an extra set of king size sheets after a mess, we immediately (less than 1 hour) brought you a set of clean sheets. It was never mentioned to us when we visited the property each afternoon for chores, that the trash was full, but we would have gladly taken some trash had you mentioned it. We are in a rural area and there is not regular trash service. We will pay more attention to that in the future! I hope that you all enjoyed the berry picking, the fresh eggs, and took the opportunity to harvest some fresh vegetables to eat. Ultimately, we feel we went above and beyond to accommodate your family including a large dog, which many hosts wouldn’t even consider. You all broke a toilet seat, a children’s bike, and left quite a mess. It seems like this was just not a good match overall, as our expectations for great guests were not met either.

Beanfest weekend

We had planned for our daughters family to be with us. Our son-in-law got sick at the last minute, so they backed out. The house was in good repair. The property was nice! A fun concept! The house for the most part was clean. There was dirty coffee cup in the cabinet and hairs in the middle bathroom tub. We were not crazy about no window coverings being that close to the road. My wife made me put a sheet over over the bedroom window . It would be nice to have some kind os blinds, shades, or drapes in the bedrooms. It was kind of odd that there was a ADA toilet in the middle bathroom with a high sided tub. And a short toilet in the master with a walkin shower. Being that in 66 with bad knees i had to use the toilet in one and shower in the other. It probably seems like I'm nit picking ,but until you have these issues you don't think about these things. Overall it was a great stay and would go back again.

I am sorry to hear that your family wasn’t able to make it! We especially love hosting families with children. I apologize for the missed details with the cleaning! Our typical housekeeping team was not available so we had to fill in with a less experienced team. Our listing does not advertise ADA accommodations and we didn’t realize that one of our toilets was an ADA toilet. Since it seems that was helpful for you, I hope it was a nice surprise. We love the open windows and feel it is remote enough without curtains, but that is a personal preference and we appreciate that feedback! We will definitely look into some window coverings. We are glad you enjoyed your time. Thank you for taking great care of our place. We would be happy to host your family again!
