Welcome to Cinder Cone Bungalow!

This 1940's home is such a great part of the historic Bend. The location is perfect, park your car and walk everywhere downtown. Full of its original character and charm this home has been loved inside and out.

The main floor includes the primary bedroom, bathroom, living room, fully equipped gourmet kitchen, and dedicated work space. The second bedroom is located upstairs, with a bathroom, and reading nook. The sofa on the main level has an upgraded queen comfy mattress for those extra guests. There is off-street parking for three cars and fully fenced back yard to relax and escape with your pup after a great day of exploring. The staircase is steeper than most and not recommended for small children or elderly adults.

McMenamins is right across the street, includes bakery, restaurant, soaking tub, theater, and famous Broom Closet hidden bar. Our Crater Retreat and Lava Hideaway are just up the street from here, so if you are ever in town with friends they could come and stay right close by.

Mt Bachelor Ski Resort and the Cascade Lakes are just a short drive away and are the perfect places to explore in any season. Biking trails in the warmer seasons and skiing or snowboarding option in the winter.

We loved the location and charm of this little bungalow. I wish we could have stayed longer, and hope to return before too long. Beware that the stairs are steep and the top one is extra tall, which would have been a challenge for our friends but was ok for us.

It was a cute property with a great location. The house had all the amenities and the AC worked great when it was needed. I had read a review that said the bed in the downstairs bedroom was lumpy and uncomfortable, but we found it to be a very comfortable bed with no lumps. The backyard at this property is large and well appointed, although we didn’t have time to enjoy it because we were in Bend for the brew festival and to brewery hop…30 breweries in Bend…we only made it to 10 of them, so we’ll continue our quest the next time we visit. I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone wanting to be within walking distance of historic Bend…we walked everyplace because everything was close. Great house!

We enjoyed our stay! Perfect for our family vacation. Super dog friendly (fully fenced backyard) and the location is amazing to walk everywhere! This was a perfect place to stay for my family. it had every thing we needed. We had a great time visiting my daughter in Bend. Perfect weekend getaway

Needed to check out Bend for an upcoming event. Bungalow had the perfect location and amenities for our stay. If you're a light sleeper, consider bringing earplugs as the upstairs bedroom gets a lot of noise from street traffic... especially when the windows are open. Other than that, highly recommend and would stay here again. Thank you!

Great house in a perfect location

Nice house with a great patio as well. The location was perfect for walking everywhere around town. All was clean and well kept. Only issue was that the main level bedroom bedframe needs to be replaced - it is old and creaky and not really useable. The AC was essential as there were high AQI index days due to the fires; however, the AC was off when we first arrived and the house was about 100 degrees upstairs - it would be ideal to have the AC on prior to guests arrival. Overall, a great place to stay in Bend!

This is the perfect house located in the heart of Bend. The house had everything we needed to keep our group comfortable, including our dog. This is a well renovated older home with lots of character. Clean, with plenty of kitchen accessories, and bathroom linens. We would stay here again, and highly recommend.

Great location. Everything within a short walk. Beds, in both bedrooms, worn out and need replaced. The house is old so lots of squeaky floors and doors. We loved being able to walk everywhere. We enjoyed sitting at the patio table out back for dinner. We also enjoyed sitting on front porch.
