Location was quiet and relaxing. The house could use a good deep clean. There were cobwebs and small bugs in corners in bedrooms and cobwebs all over house.
We all had a wonderful time at the cabin nestled in the pines. The lovely owner met us there for check-in and went through all our logistical questions. There is a refreshing cedar smell to the cabin and the amenities are very complete. I would rent again if I come back to Oregon. I give it a 10 out of 10 for satisfaction.

Gorgeous, private and relaxing home.
Our main reason for renting the cabin was to visit Crater Lake. Unfortunately the cabin is 2hrs from Crater Lake, shame on us for not mapping the exact location but I figured we would be closer considering the description says "minutes from". That being said, I would recommend and return to this cabin in order to check out the Sprague and surrounding area. Very well maintained and relaxing environment. Despite the distance to Crater Lake we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Josua and his family were great guests, Pleasant and left the cabin in great shape...Did not intend to be misleading, The cabin is exactly 58.3 miles from the south entrance to Crater Lake, Just over 60 minutes...Our guest should have googled the South entrance as the North takes you a hour out of the way...None the less the drive to the Crater is a wonderful scenic drive past the Williamson , Sprague rivers and some of the most beautiful ranch land in southern Oregon...We welcome them back and would happily show them some great fishing spots on the rivers !
We had a great stay this weekend. We had everything we needed. Sure A/C is nice but if you've ever lived without it you know to open the windows at night or in the early morning and then close everything up before it hits 70 and keep the fans on. It was up to 100° this weekend and we had no issues. Plenty of space and the hosts were easy to get a hold of if we had any questions or issues. All in all a great stay and we would stay here again! Thanks!
We really wanted to love this property. We were looking forward to getting away from the hustle and bustle. This cabin did that. Here are the pros and cons:
Pros:
Secluded
Good size
Dog friendly
Very good wifi
Left us local eggs and bacon
Cons:
1) No A/C. We booked for 7 days. Could only stay 3 days because it was over 90 degrees in the cabin until 2am and there were fires in the area.. They had 7 fans in the house which circulated the hot air, but were also so loud we couldn't sleep. I understand that they can't control the weather, but I felt like they should have warned us and allowed us to make decision if we wanted to continue with the booking.
2) Photos are misleading- from the photos, we were expecting green area. We are aware of drought, but entire property is completely dry, brown, and not suitable for exploring. There were wasp nests at outbuildings as well.
3) Shower water pressure is horrible. It is close to a dribble. And rugs in bathroom are well-used. I stepped out of shower and feet feel instantly dirty from rug.
4) On the second day, when we returned to the cabin the house key snapped in half in the lock. The door area smelled strongly of wd-40 so I assume they were aware of some sort of issue with the door.
5) Also on our 2nd day, a wildfire started 25 miles from the cabin. The wind blew the smoke straight into the cabin. Because of the heat, we couldn't close the windows. We had headaches and nausea and made the decision to leave. Ron was apathetic. He said, "sorry it's bothering you. Enjoy the rest of your vacation." We had to book a hotel room for that night (unexpected expense). And on that day, a fire started even closer to the cabin and still no offer from Ron for even a partial refund.
6) Lastly, as we were leaving I fell through a slat on the patio and scrapped my calf. There were areas that looked like they were repaired because of similar issues as well.
I can honestly say this was our first bad experience on VRBO. Rent this cabin at your own risk.
A comfy rustic cabin. Plenty of room for a big group, and a beautiful, remote property. WiFi was surprisingly good. The hosts generously left us eggs, juice and butter in the fridge - a lovely touch. As other reviewers note, this is a good distance from town - about a 40 mins drive, and a solid hour + to Lake of the Woods and Wood River and Crater Lake. So if you plan to explore, expect to drive.
This is our 4th time staying here and we are never disappointed
We always feel at home and we love how they leave little welcome goodies in the fridge. It leaves a nice touch! Check in and check out process is easy, the property is secluded and it feels like our home away from home.
The stay was so wonderful and peaceful. There is nothing I can say went wrong . Ron was so attentive and at the same time respectfully give us our space. It was like being home but way better. Thank you so much for the peaceful vacation.
Host was great with communication, cabin is roomy and cared for. We really liked the space. The acreage is fabulous and there is plenty of outdoor seating. Crater Lake was not as close as we thought.
This property is very private and a great place for a visit with dogs. The house was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare all of our meals. The owners were super helpful and friendly throughout the booking process, check-in and check-out. The location is fantastic. It is a relatively close drive to several options for hiking and summer water sports. That said, we were very happy to hang out on the deck and enjoy the peace and quiet. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to my friends. I'm looking forward to a stay in the winter as well.
Ron & Vicky met us at the cabin to make sure we felt welcome. This quint cozy cabin with its rustic interior easily felt like home. The spacious yard and tall pines was a great place to re-gather after the event to continue visiting with family we hadn't seen in years.
Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to stay here.
We needed a family getaway without a lot of distractions, and this cabin fit the bill. It was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Ron was attentive and always available to answer our questions. Day trips to Klamath Falls and Crater Lake were convenient and easy.
We stayed at this property for 8 nights on our visit to the Crater Lake area. It was nicely situated about 1 hour from Crater Lake National Park entrance, Lava Beds National Monument, Crater Lake (ROE Zipline and Kayaking) on Upper Klamath Lake and 1 hour 15 minutes to Lake in the Woods for boating and fishing.. It is 30 minutes to the town of Klamath Falls. As long as you don't mind driving about 2 hours a day round trip for different sight-seeing adventures, this is the perfect place.
The home is located on 7 acres with a tire swing, hammock, grill, outdoor fire pit for S'mores, gazebo for eating outside with an insect net for protection, and an outdoor sprinkler system from the porch to cool off. There is a table and chairs outside, some other outdoor chairs and a great place for watching sunsets and star gazing!
Inside is quite a good size with 2 bedrooms with bunk beds (bottom is a double bed and top single) and a couch in one and a chair in the other. There are nightlights and several lights in the bedrooms. There is a 3rd bedroom that is off of the living room with a queen size bed. All the beds are comfortable with nice sheets and covers.
There is one bathroom with a nice large tub and shower.
The kitchen has everything you need for cooking all your meals with plenty of dishes, utinsils and even food in the pantry and refrigerator when we arrived!
There are 2 living rooms. One has 2 comfortable couches, a fireplace, table and lots of books in the bookshelf and 1 lamp. The 2nd living room is down one step and next to the dining room. It is large with a very large comfortable couch, table, lamp, bench, and desk with lots of brochures of places to visit and see around the area. There is a large flat screen TV with local TV channels and Roku for movies. There is no DVD player. There is a fireplace in this room, too.
The dining room has places to sit for 8 and there is another high table and chairs for another 4 people.
There is plenty of room for a family to spread out and it was nicely decorated, with hard wood floors, and a log cabin style throughout the home which made it feel warm and cozy.
There are many quiet, gravel roads nearby for mountain biking around the countryside right from the home.
We came in summer and there is no air conditioning, so we were quite hot for a few days. There were fans, but we needed more. We asked and the owner responded quickly by bringing one by.
Overall, a wonderful place to stay!
