Bright and Modern Wellfleet Studio Apartment Close to Ponds, Trails, and Town

This roomy, air conditioned, studio apartment is ideal for two people or two people and a young child (under 2 yrs), who are seeking very comfortable accommodations for a getaway to the outer cape and the best it has to offer. The apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood adjacent to National Seashore land and hiking trails to ponds. It is located above a detached garage but we do not keep cars in the garage so there isn't any car noise or exhaust fumes. You will have full access to the garage for secure storage and playing ping pong and a darts. We provide 2 beach chairs and an umbrella located in the garage. Guests have a private entrance and although the garage is located next to the main house, your privacy is important to us. You will have keyless entry and we sent you the code the morning of arrival. We are available through the VRBO app to help with any requests. The apartment has cathedral ceilings so it feels very roomy. It features an efficiency kitchen (not a full kitchen), a large bath, a large closet, large screen tv and cable, free wifi, and a private outdoor area equipped with a gas grill, a dining table and chaise lounges. Located in the beautiful, quiet Wellfleet Woods development, this property is surrounded by national seashore land. A short ¾ mile walk on a path through the national seashore woods brings you to beautiful, crystal clear, sandy bottomed Gull Pond and if you are to explore further, there are many other ponds back in the woods. You can even hike to the beach on the paths through the woods of Wellfleet and Truro! The national seashore beaches (Newcomb Hollow, Cahoon Hollow, White Crest, LeCount Hollow), Gull Pond Landing, Wellfleet Center and Wellfleet Harbor are all less than 3 miles away. If you love biking, this area offers scenic routes all the way to Provincetown.

An efficiency kitchen is equipped with a microwave, convection oven, induction cook top and mini refrigerator. Enjoy hardwood flooring, a cathedral beamed ceiling, air conditioning, ample closet space, tiled bath floor, large windows, a skylight, wireless internet, and parking. Laundry facilities are located in the main house basement via a bulkhead entrance.

Activities
Enjoy the Wellfleet beaches, harbor, ponds, hiking trails, restaurants, local live theater and the famous Wellfleet Drive In Theater. Fishing excursions and sail/motor boat rentals are available at Wellfleet harbor. Wellfleet’s Chequessett Golf, Tennis and Sailing Club is open to the public and has sailboat rentals. The Julie Harris Stage, the Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater, the Wellfleet Drive In Movie Theater, Truro’s Payomet Theater, and the Beachcomber offer evening entertainment. Provincetown whale watching, shopping, dining and nightlife is 13 miles away. The Cape Cod Bike Trail is less than 5 miles away and goes from Lecount Hollow Rd to Harwich.

Fantastic Hosts and Great Location

Tom and Mary are first rate hosts. The property location is amazing. GPS gets you there accurately. They provide beach chairs and a cooler, which was awesome for us since we flew. The laundry is easy to access, and that was a big plus for us too. The apartment itself had everything we needed, and was very clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and found it an awesome, comfortable, restful getaway, hosted by great people. They are extremely responsive if you need anything, but respectful of privacy also. This place is a first choice if you get an opportunity to book! Absolutely awesome.

We highly recommend renting this well Fleet Studio apartment.It was cheerful, clean, stocked with everything you need for the stay. They had a ping pong table on the floor below which we used each day. Lots of fun! They also had other things that we did not use because we brought our stuff along. They had beach towels, beach chairs available. There was a dart board you could play a game or two. The neighborhood is wonderful...very quiet and you can walk with no traffic. There is a parking spot for your car . The apartment is very close to restaurants and beaches. There is also a backyard patio with a table and chairs that you can sit out at with night lighting. We highly recommend it and would go back again.

We built our home in Wellfleet in the 1990's and added the garage with the apartment in 2012. The apartment is a haven for family, friends and renters who want a quiet refuge in the woods of Wellfleet with all the modern amenities. When asked, we love sharing our insider knowledge of the area and activities with our guests. We enjoy hiking the trails that lead from the house through the national seashore. We hike to the kettle ponds, and to the ocean on paths and dirt roads passing hidden homes and cottages along the way. We are located less than a mile from Truro so many of the trails are in Truro. Our bike excursions take us through the hills of Wellfleet and Truro stopping at beaches and scenic sites along the way. Tom is an avid sailor and keeps a boat in Wellfleet Harbor. Mary is a professional photographer specializing in portraits (on the beaches), real estate and interior design.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with Wellfleet as young adults and built the main house in the early 1990's. The location of the apartment is located in a quiet wooded residential neighborhood surrounded by national seashore hiking trails that lead to totally swimmable sandy bottomed kettle ponds. The apartment is located under 3 miles from Wellfleet Center, ocean and bay beaches, restaurants, the famous Beachcomber restaurant on Cahoon Hollow beach, hiking trails, theater, golfing, and shopping. The town of Wellfleet is a gem that remains much the way it has always been. Wellfleet offers a step back to a simpler, slower way of life and a true old cape cod experience.

What makes this property unique

On the property, you have your own private patio via a private staircase from the apartment. It's equipped with a table and 2 chairs and 2 lounge chairs and a gas grill. The garage offers secure storage for your bikes and gear. Beach chairs and beach towels come with the apartment. The woods are a quiet place with hummingbirds, wild turkeys, butterflies, and fox. The neighborhood is a pleasant one for walking and the neighbors are friendly. We are tucked away from traffic and noise, yet a 2 minute drive to Wellfleet center, ocean and bay beaches. There is a beautiful public golf course in Wellfleet and another in Truro where we love to golf. The ponds in Wellfleet and Truro are crystal clear water, sandy bottomed and perfect for kayaking, paddle boarding and swimming. Biking is second to none with gorgeous scenery all the way to Provincetown. Wellfleet is famous for its oysters and they are served in almost every restaurant.
